Would you guys leave Disco for Freelancer 2? Content-wise, it can never be as good (no caps, only a few ships). On top of that, the current trends in the mainstream industry leaning towards dumbing down of existing franchises mean I never have any faith for upcoming remakes.

Nowadays, large greedy corporations hate modding. They've got DLC's to sell. Battlefield 2 DLC's didn't sell because modding provided 100 times more content of 1000 times better quality. They certainly didn't allow for the same "mistake" to happen again.

This won't be Freelancer 2. He's not working with Microsoft. Won't happen.
That doesn't make me any less interested in this, though. The next big announcement from them will apparently be on the 10th of October.

It's more than likely going to be a new Wing Commander, Chris Roberts has already said he'd revisit the series if he had the time/funding.

When you are at the Screen of that website asking for the access code put in 42 as the code (I tried to answer 101010 randomly as access code and it gave a hint saying: Answer to the ultimate question anyone who has read the hitchikers guide to the galaxy knows this is 42. I think it allows you to sign up for updates on whatever it is or maybe even beta testing?
