Normally I'd be opposed to it, but recent events in Omega-9 changed my mind.

I tentatively endorse this product or service.

Watsas - tau-65 is very important to the gc and we are very sad you think it should be deleted. I trusted you... :betrayal:

well if its redone in any form why add not just eyecandy but more enviromental hazzard in it. so far i know there only 1 neutronstar and many radioactive and/or Igniteable clouds ingame.
there could be more stuff like a Magnetar or Gravitational singularity or in the extremest case a Black hole to just list some.

it also would balance out some traderoutes if there was more danger in the way.

other thing is if there is a base in it givethem a jobboard thats filled -.- there are so many systems /bases out there without anything to do

I voted in favour of deletion, however if the systems were to be moved beyond the current edge of the map, make them very much out of the way and difficult to find then I'd wouldn't mind having a few systems kept.

Slightly offtopic but a small hypergate route around the edge of Sirius for the nomads would be nice just so they have a little more room to pop up unexpectedly.

I would be in favor of this, and in general more experiments, rather than just what seems like random systems chucked in here and there.

Omega-9 is a pretty cool system, for instance, with exits to different major warring factions. That system is rip for POB colonization and epic drama and wars.

I think every single system in the mod should have a raison d'être in terms of gameplay - something to explore, something to colonize, somewhere to pew and so on.

I've discovered that Tau-42 is still there and empty. Since they merged it's FA stuff with Tottori, I have an idea for it's replacement.

Right now, it's one blue star and some jumpholes. The Tau-42 system should instead, have a Blue Hypergiant right in the middle of it. Basically, take the Red Giant from Omega-11, color it blue, and make it the size of Omicron Beta. It will be a few (hundred) klicks off the edge of the map to the North.

The star would have kicked off most of the lighter elements when it formed, and wouldn't have any planets. Most of the action would take place within the 'playable area' situated in an arc of the asteroid ring surrounding the star, between two or three jumpholes, the area that the Navmap considers as 'playable' would be about the size of Omega-7. The total radius of the deal would be big huge, so only a small fraction of the ring system need have 'stuff' in it.

The whole system would be uninhabited and highly radioactive, though the asteroid belt would provide some shelter due to lead-bearing asteroids. Venturing outside of it would cause anything smaller then a cruiser to melt quickly. There would be bits and pieces of old mining bases, akin to the Colorado asteroid fields. Detritus from earlier attempts to colonize the system which went wrong.

There would be rich deposits of something or other (I can't say what, that's the mining dev's department). Not quite rich enough for the big corporations like Samura or GMS to worry about, considering the system's remoteness and radiation, but small freelance prospectors might find the system a break from the frequent madness of Tau-23 and the boredom of Tau-39.

If the system stays where it is, the Jumpholes should go to Tau-44 and either Kyushu or Tottori. Possibly somewhere else in Kusari as well. Alternately, the system could be moved, but I wouldn't be the one to as where.

I propose an idea to make certain systems accessible to each other via jump holes...
I refer to those systems that are several jumps out from "inhabited" areas, systems on the very edges of settled space...
Maybe you could jump from Omicron X to Tau X and to Omega X...where X is the chosen system number.
Having to take nearly 10 jumps, and fly through asteroid fields and stuff just to get from Omicron to Bretonia is very annoying...and somewhat boring.

As a sideline...that giant Jumpgate that is found in 4.87 (near a station somewhere but isn't active and never was before) is that actually going to be used for anything? What about the Jump Holes/Gates from the last storyline missions...with the Nomad Lair, and the Dyson Sphere thing?

Is that highly radioactive place still there?
The whole system is radioactive, and as you get closer to the star in the middle, it is worse.
Two bases, and some actually lootable ships among the HUNDREDS of empty ones...

No idea which one it is...Omega somewhere
Cutting down the radiation there would be good, even by 25%
