but what about using 3 monitors in game

The more interesting question would be, how to run Freelancer in "Fullscreen Windowed", so that the game won't alt-tab (minimize the game) once you click on your other monitor.
Or is that what your program does?

If not, "Actual Multiple Monitors" does exactly prevent this.

Yes, that's what the software addon that I linked does. Once you click outside the first monitor and onto the second monitor, the game will still show "live video" only the controls will be disabled unless you click inside the game again (which is a good thing because you don't want the hotkeys to go off while you're typing stuff outside the game like I'm doing right now). You also lose sound but that's not a big deal.

But otherwise, the game won't minimize and you can see your toon doing it's things live.

I don't have 3 monitors but I'm assuming it'd work just the same way. (I don't know if you can or would want to stretch FL across 3 screens, but if you're using 1 screen for FL and the other two for random stuff then it should work with the tutorial steps.

In step 1, connect all three monitors, extend displays, drag the monitors around in your preference

In step 2, make the monitor you'll be running FL on your primary monitor

In the prevent accidents section, set up your monitors the way you want ... if you're playing on the middle monitor then set your right and left monitor on the bottom right and bottom left of your primary monitor in the resolution window respectively. If you're playing on the right-most monitor then set the middle monitor on the bottom left of the right-most monitor and set the left most monitor parallel to the middle monitor. Obviously it's the opposite way around if you're using the left-most monitor.
