WAS. I think the topic says "what IS" the best MMO game ever, though lacking specific words to relay that due to bad grammer on the OP's behalf.
SWG was good before the CU, after that it crashed big time. At the moment, and for the past four years, World of Warcraft is top dog.
It does have some competitors coming up like warhammer online, but I doubt they'll be able to surpass what blizzard has done with WoW.

Blizzard was already bought by someone else... I cant remember exactly the name but I know activision was either it or a big part of it.

I never have to start over.. Only way to lose skillpoints is by being podded when you have no clone.. If you weren't smart enough to buy clones able to cover your skillpoints than you ain't to bright. Furthermore, you shouldn't be doing pvp, or even entering low security systems until you are able to replace anything you lose. You don't, for example, take the first battleship you've ever bought, the only one you've bought, and go into low sec with it.. You'll get ganked, pure and simple. When that happens its not the game sucking, its your use of logic and common sense, or lack there of. And if you didn't have the mind to INSURE your ship, than your not just lacking common sense, your plain retarded. Do those things right (and avoid being an retard), and you can go through lowsec with little to no losses, and those you do get you should be able to afford to replace.

Earth & Beyond. I actually got into Freelancer afterward because the two play so much alike.
It was going to be WestWood Studios' big breakthrough MMO project. Then EA bought them out and starved it to death over a couple years.
