I would say we start over again from scratch - or vanilla to be precise.

Yes?

Can we roll back the mentality and people as well? Can I also get those 3 years of my life back? If so, I'm sold.

WHAT!?!?!?!??!!??!

whats the point of the LN or rheinland navy or bretonian navy then!??!?!! NOTHING

in RP (and i dont understand still why) but navys have more attention on pirates in their systems than the police in the houses do!

Navys should be out fighting other houses and what not. They usually cant be bothered by pesky pirates (in RP ofc).

On the other hand if the pirate organization becomes a real threat then u call in the army.
Or in Liberty for example the LSF? like the FBI?

Quote:Besides, how would it be explained IRP? All the characters that have existed since 2012. All the stories, events, et cetera

I never agree with these 4.85 DAE posts because the roleplay that has passed between then and now is clearly not important to those who rant every other week to bring back different game mechanics.

Christ, this crap again?

Right, so, this short-sighted nonsense comes up every other month or so, as though rolling back mod development will magically turn back time, too.

So here's what those who suggest it keep missing.

Things It Will Not Do:
  • It will not bring us back the many players that have left. Maybe a handful, but not enough to really be relevant.
  • It will not fix the system count nearly as much as some people think. Extraneous systems are already being culled, and in a far more thoughtful way than a blind ROLLBACK ROLLBACK I HATE NEW THINGS will.

Things It Will Make Worse:
  • Dev team burnout. "Hey, you know all that everything you've contributed to the mod over the last several years? We don't want it anymore, do something new for us now."
  • Inane screaming on the forums. If it works once, people will keep trying it in the future. Incidentally, important consideration if any of you start raising children.

New Problems It Will Create:

Things It Will Actually Fix:
  • Makes Gallia smaller.

That doesn't seem worth it at all.

This^ Last 2 years server went to hell. New toys are great an all, but server is lacking leadership it once had, and attitude.

Don't reset or look back, you can only press on forward.

Not worth it with new player base. 9 month's and counting. 45 ships gone, and 15billion is cash. I do not miss them 1 bit, just some old players I hung with, and I see them still in other games.
Roll back would only work if you rolled back the players , and lost all the losers.

No, because that still wouldn't fix most of the problems.

Except maybe the economy.
