RE: Removal of the alt forum accounts rule - Ryummel - 03-21-2014 So now telling people to read carefully instead of tossing +1'ish posts in order to prevent potential (and wrongful) QQ at admins means one is insulting somebody else. RE: Removal of the alt forum accounts rule - Detale - 03-21-2014 This rule does not save you from the rotten community. RE: Removal of the alt forum accounts rule - t0l - 03-21-2014 And here we go again. RE: Removal of the alt forum accounts rule - Jansen - 03-21-2014 Take your it to PM's, this is an Administator Notice, so you shouldnt solve your personal problems here. RE: Removal of the alt forum accounts rule - SnakThree - 03-21-2014 Also. Why admins care not for forum's space, now that everyon and his grandma can create new accounts to be used as what-ever-but-trolling? RE: Removal of the alt forum accounts rule - Jansen - 03-21-2014 Im fairly certain that we can afford the few bytes of increased forum space usage this could be causing. True. Well, I still see no reason, why the rule could not have been changed to simply "Alt accounts cannot be used for malicious behaviour" RE: Removal of the alt forum accounts rule - Strichev - 03-21-2014 In what ways does not knowing with whom you're dealing help the community? RE: Removal of the alt forum accounts rule - Zelot - 03-21-2014 While I appreciate the official personal warning for my forum behavior (the nice pm I received) It would be nice if my first post, you know the questions could be answered. RE: Removal of the alt forum accounts rule - Jansen - 03-21-2014 (03-21-2014, 03:37 PM)Zelot Wrote: If I may ask, how did this rule fall short in it's goal? It gave the admins the power under the rules to deal with alt accounts used to troll. What will the rule rational now be to deal with these things? There simply is no way to catch every Alt account that posts out of the roleplay section, which causes quite a few issues with those that get caused. I think you know how the whole 'Q_Q why treat him different than me' 'Oh look he is posting with an Alt, why did you slap mine and not his?' thing works. There is still a rule against trolling, we just removed something that is not entirely necessary as Alts that are used for trolling and everyone else that does it will still be caught by that one (1.2 for reference). |
