Since nomad language can be quite difficult you should probably pursue the K'Hara membership at a later point when you're more confident in your English skills.
I didn't see the Trial ID in a quite a while so I don't know at the moment if it allows gunboats, but I assume it doesn't.

There is a vast amount of things you can do as a nomad other than shooting. You can be really creative imagining what you want to do in roleplay.

The Trial ID only allows the Morph / Nomad Light Fighter. It also can't 'actively' engage anything, although pretty much everyone will shoot a Nomad on sight and you'll get to defend yourself when that happens.
The Omicrons are empty and boring. Like most of Discovery as of late, really.
