I downloaded FAangband(First Age Angband) instead. I can't even find a single link to download zangband that works (sourceforge only create an infinite download prompt for me in my phone).
Have you tried faangband? if so, what's your opinion about it?

Recently I've been playing Z+Angband. It mixes things up a bit and returns the Angband quest system, something Zangband, sadly, had to remove.
Also has an autosave feature for a more relaxed but equally as hard gameplay.
