You don't have to use the latest version of Skype. Get an older version here.
I remember using 4.2.0.187 for the longest time.

I managed to launch 5.10.0.116 version, but already have warning message
"Your version of Skype will soon be retired"

Use the IMG restart and go mine Niobium ore in Tau-23. Good money there, plenty to do in the Taus as well
Alternatively, set up a junker character and mine Premium Scrap in Texas

Plenty of ways out there. You just gotta explore around a bit. Sirius (and Gallia) is a big place.

You have so many choices , you can mine/trade niobium , aluminium , silver , h-3 , uncut diamonds .
For example get a 5ker whitch is neutral with kusari , and rheinland ( ex. Kishiro) and tow IMG miners , and you can mine niobium in tau 23 and sell it in new berlin after you can go in omega 7 and mine again with IMG silver and sell it in new tokyo.
Or get a 5ker with Samura/kishiro/ALG / kruger etc reputation and a GMG miner ,and a DHC miner and you can mine h-3 with GMG miner in sigma 19 and sell it in omega 3 , and then go to omega 11 and mine uncut diamonds with DHC miner and sell it to new tokyo.
There are more routes but i prefet these ones.

We use skype, but we are no big money makers.
Skpe is no requirement though, and we do not use TS.
40k an hour sounds fine to me if you have fun along the way ?
Though I do usually make more like 50 - 60 in an hour´s worth of time.
By the way : you do not have to join us to trade with us, just pass a message.
If you want to try trading with a base you´re welcome with us, though we don´t build cloaks and such atm...
