If you blow up/torch Xerna, the Ravine, the Wilderness, and the Nomad City in 4.85's Omicron Iota-Hell, the Nomads, Wild, and Keepers would die REALLY REALLY FAST. Imagine this. You are 24 years old, and physically fit. Someone cuts your eyes, ears, tongue, and nose off, sears your skin so you can't feel, then drops you in the woods. How long would you last assuming you didn't die of the injuries they inflicted on you? That's about how long the Nomads would last if Mindshare was destroyed. They were pretty helpless when the hypergate got triggered, but Mindshare was still there, just hopelessly faint. They still had ships, they still had bases, there was a way to come back. If they know that they really have lost everything, add to the above that person has just slaughtered your family, everyone that you know of, and re-written the laws of nature so you don't understand those anymore either.

Yes. IIRC, Nomad NPCs will be significantly stronger (closer to Wild NPCs, which may get nerfed a bit, especially the insane Scorpions), and I'm certain that Omicron Iota will not be the kind of thing you survive. If you think Omega-58 is bad now, Iota will be even worse. So if you're determined, you can still farm Nomads, but it will be more like farming Wild from O-55 or O-58.

Who says the Nomads are more advanced than us technologically? I do believe the general consensus is that nomads are more advances socially and organically, and the Humans have technological and numerical superiority, and between those two military as well. Of course, that is up for debate, but that's how I always saw it.
