I'm still not sure, it still promotes powertrading:
for instance, if Berlin and tokyo are at opposite ends, NY would have to be in the middle
it would still be quicker than going the proper way
Also, cruising through an empty system, is much easier than tradelanes, lots of systems, more enemy NPCs etc. You just mark the jump hole, select goto, and then leave it

Unless the coding can be changed, to allow the player to exit only the way they came in, this doesn't work

What about revamping the entire system?

Have 5 jumpholes to and from connecticut.
Each JH is surrounded (completly - no gaps) by a mine sphere.
that way people who are close by to each other can pvp in the system.
Any person wanting to pvp versus an opposing house player will have to travel.

Or heres another option.
Move the jump holes to three of the independent systems. Therefore if people want to pvp,
they can agree to meet at the indy systems and then go to the pvp system.
The three Jh's will be completely surrounded by a mine sphere.

In any option, each JH will need a nearby base.

I'd like to take a moment to say...

THATS STUPID

not a chance in ************************************************************
that FOUR HUNDRED AND EIGHTY KILOMETERS Travelling at only 350 km/h OF CRUISING DISTANCE TO TRAVEL BETWEEN THE SYSTEMS AND BACK

CAN NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER

BE FASTER THAN THE EXISTING ROUTES!!!

Simpler idea, simply have seperate and possibly identical arena systems connected to New Tokyo, New Berlin, New London, and possibly systems like Omicron Eta and other systems.

These would be effectively identical to Conneticuit, save minor asthetics (music, backgrounds, names), but with the same stuff layout. These systems would be OoRP battle zones and nothing more.

Whatever the distance you put between JH, YOU WILL NEVER HAVE A SYSTEM WIDE ENOUGH TO COMPENSATE.

The system would have to be like 500k wide . . . even more. And It will give more job and headache to the discovery Commodity team.

Just not worth it. And you don't need Connecticut to PVP practice. just go near a Low traffic Freeport (like Corfu) and make a common agreement.

Connecticut... - Xing - 09-15-2008

we should put the pvp system in front of that neutron star in the omega.

Connecticut... - kingvaillant - 09-15-2008

Inside of it would be funnier. like one JH from NY, and one JH from O-41

OR BETTER!!! one JH to right in front of the Black hole in 85:lol:

I vote for your first idea. I guess the scale of the system would need to be uped so that you would have a decent area to maneuver in without ramming into mines.

But if that first idea doesn't work out than your second one would be also work, that way you're not ticking off any house factions or causing false alarms (as Gafwmn said).

But it's easier. Personally, I would just selest the JH, F2 and go afk or atl-tab to windows to do something else while the game would play itself.
