Yes, TFU will most likely have DRM if it's released for PC, but I've yet to hear of a release date, and TFU will sit on the consoles for several months before the game touches a PC. If it touches a PC, anyways.
It could remain console exclusive.

Spore looked decent to begin with, although too kiddy friendly for for me. From what I've heard, the DS version is probably better than the PC one.

Balthazzar: Im not sure about restrictions in that matter in these forums, but in most non-specialized places, that post would lead to insta-lock.
Anyway, i played spore, and it was reallyl boring. I'd say the first and second stages are the best. Tribal is, well, simple. nothing special on it. Next stage, is ... crap. I have yet to lose a city, and it's way too easy to conquer your enemies in any way, no challenge. Space age... got me bored after a pair of hours of missions and such, and having to find a concrete system among a giant ring... not even a simple search system. If you're showing all system names from scratch, at least make a list. Or just show names of systems you explore.
It could have been much better than it actually is.

I heard a rumor that this game has become the most pirated game in history.. not sure though. I know that EA really shot themselves in the foot with this one.
