It´s been real fun to play with AFC so far, and as a faction currently using Freelance ID for main faction, and employing Junker ID in sub-faction we surely keep watching you.
Faction information is nicely written and well cept,
replies come fast, interaction is good.
Visiting BP66 is fun,
and I sure hope that I will see some more races, I always managed to miss them up to now.
Go for it, racers !

erm... We only use freelancer ID now. Like I mentioned earlier to snak3 we dropped the junker ID a while ago since we could only use one. ...

I just checked the index for an official freelancer faction and found non.
So my answer is no
And to answer your question:
I would have to say no it doesn't automatically give you access to the group as you have to go through the recruitment process.
If you participate in a race however your one step closer to being accepted. You'd in RP be considered as (potentially/in most cases) a hang-around which is basically a term meaning 'friend of the club' in biker terms.
Its a good place to start RP but the AFC are not just taking any old racer out from space that races and wins a race.
Knowing you, Larzac, I dont think though it would be hard for you to join the faction anyway. It's not too hard.

Kudos for Racing Wars 2.
Was a blast. I seldom feel my heart going faster in Disco any more, but before that last hard turn after going round the planet... it was tense, every single time. Also the starts when the minespam goes off... uhhhh!
Damn nice and you need to keep doing that.
Furthermore, this course was a lot cooler than the 1st one.
Including planets, bases, etc is a definite winner.
