If they come now and stay, that means increased activity for everyone playing this mod on one server. If they don't, this server loses nothing. Seems like win-win for mod and this server and this community, and only lose for the other servers' players. RE: Disco Tough Love: Remove Non-Official server compatibility from future versions - sindroms - 11-24-2014 I think we have reached the point, where killing other servers just so we can survive is a completely legitimate move. RE: Disco Tough Love: Remove Non-Official server compatibility from future versions - Haste - 11-24-2014 I suspect however that it's highly unlikely that players will actually migrate to the 'official' server. It's more likely that they'll simply keep playing older versions of the mod, or leave the game entirely. In addition, who wants to play on a server whose management is trying to force you to do something you would rather not do? All in all, it's a dick move that I really doubt will have any positive effect on the RP 24/7 server's population. I've already replied something like that in a different thread. I once made a point about why people playing on others servers instead of the official one, if all the servers would kinda merge, we would reach a 200 Players, trust me, maybe not everyday but you would see it at least once a week. +1 I've to agree with Sindroms on this one, I realy think that's just the best option we've left here, I mean come on. This mod has been built around a "collective community" not "divided community". The game itself hardly holds itself alive and now when we have divided servers, it's even harder to keep this thing on going. Think of it this way, instead of meeting new people and growing community, we've kinda chosen to let everyone alone. Not realy a social move. Let them bring their ideas from other servers into the official server, just follow the basic rules and that's it, nobody will feel themselfs "forced" or anything. Look, I've heared this alot from newer games. When I ask like "dude let's open a private server there and play our own factions" people go all like "Nah dude srsly? There is an official server already where all together as a collective play there, I realy wouldn't bother wasting time in a private server". They were right. RE: Disco Tough Love: Remove Non-Official server compatibility from future versions - Alley - 11-24-2014 well our admin team can always go talk to the respective admins and see what happens. RE: Disco Tough Love: Remove Non-Official server compatibility from future versions - Omi - 11-24-2014 I find it kind of sickening that this idea was even seriously posted in the first place. Don't even get me started on what I think of the fact that it's met with any support whatsoever. Killing off other communities to prop up ours is a dick move at best, like Haste said. I'd even call it disgusting, frankly. RE: Disco Tough Love: Remove Non-Official server compatibility from future versions - Chuba - 11-24-2014 there is abou 10% that people will join official server 90% they will leave and delete it and probably hate u all who agreed RE: Disco Tough Love: Remove Non-Official server compatibility from future versions - 9th.Legion - 11-24-2014 I don't like the Idea. The lack of players on the official server is only cuz of ya. Other server's has nothing to do with it ![]() Do that mistake and the Discovery mode might die. Most of the players moved from your server to others cuz of the "Admin" team as I know and the lack of respect between the players. For the last weeks by my calculation... 37 Players switched Disco mode cuz of that reason. -The final wish will be made by you... Good luck ! Friendly merges would be okay, but forced merges would be really bad and I don't think that's the image we want to spread for this mod in general. RE: Disco Tough Love: Remove Non-Official server compatibility from future versions - Corile - 11-24-2014 My opinion of Spazzy and Snak3 has just gone even lower. Keep it up, fellas, a great deal of people hate you here and now you're trying to get the population of other servers hate you even more. Like seriously, are you for realz here?
