admins say: use report as last resort - Magoo! - 10-03-2008 Do keep in mind that all Police tags look the same. Unless I'm mistaken; which I don't think I am. If I am, could somebody please provide screens of the different police tags? Otherwise the Houses would not know the difference between a helping trader loyal to them or their embargo'd rival. I'm gonna stop spamming the forums now. admins say: use report as last resort - stewcool - 10-03-2008 Sorry a little delayed. What I ment earlier was it's going to be alot harder to gain money in the server since it's going to be more realistic. You are going to have to stop at around 3 stops just to complete 1 run. Which is each stop is most likely 2-3 systems away. And it will be far more difficult for traders because pirates have more room to get you. An with a police tag...Lets just say 90% of pirates don't welcome police tagged traders. admins say: use report as last resort - Rogue63 - 10-03-2008 Maybe the guy was new or didnt totally understand your position on it. But to report him.....oh sheesh cmon..that is ridiculous. Maybe the guy is RP'ing an independant trader not affiliated with any particular faction or group, just a lawful trader. We dont have all the info here, particularly his perspective. I think the RP extremists are making another appearance. I have a trader char that is independant, happens to have a BMM tag at the moment. I trade with all legal house groups, is someone going to tuen me in for trading with Kusari if I take a shipment of optronics to Cambridge.... The guy happens to be affiliated with the police (lawful) with a trader ID, I dont see the big issue here. We all know the police ID is a somewhat generic affiliation and easy to get without much effort. If the Admins were to saction this guy for this I'd say things are outta control and way to heavy-handed. For the RP extremists take a breath and enjoy the game, dont scrutinize every players ID and affiliation. If it is totally outta whack lawful ID with pirate affiliation ok say something, but goodness sake take a chill pill on the RP police stuff. admins say: use report as last resort - ryoken - 10-03-2008 I agree on the police ID thing,BUT, Last i heard the embargo was only on rheinland good'sberty goods. Not all but passinger's, and going through Rheinland is not trading with Rheinland. admins say: use report as last resort - jpo - 10-03-2008 Could you please show me the link or quote the rule that says your IFF cant be police if you are a trader? For example if you were [DSE] you would be full green to LPI LN LSF and would have to kill them to get DSE rep. killing them would be OORP. Thats just an example but I still want to see the link/quote as I am sure it doesent exist. admins say: use report as last resort - jimmy Patterson - 10-03-2008 ' Wrote:Sorry a little delayed.and then youl lget the people who gripe its unfair and inthe favorof pirates and it goes back to square one theres no way to fix problems like thos post they need to get it or suffer the consaquences sad but true and fact admins say: use report as last resort - sn!p3r - 10-03-2008 Quote:6.2 Out of Roleplay (OORP): admins say: use report as last resort - stewcool - 10-03-2008 Thank you sniper for finding it. I couldn't find the dang thing! Though there is no trader tag so they should get a trading company tag admins say: use report as last resort - AdamantineFist - 10-03-2008 The police tag is not illegal for traders to have. However, it isn't exactly the best tag to have. If you're a generic IDed trader, it'd probably be best to lose the tag. It can lead to unfortunate complications. admins say: use report as last resort - stewcool - 10-03-2008 IDEA: If your going to be a trade vessel. I recommend you fail about 5 police missions Then start trading and dont shoot any ships Thus you will stay tagless. The failing of the missions is in case you do in fact shoot NPC ships. |
