The large, corrupt, socially-minded government juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Social Welfare, and Healthcare. The average income tax rate is 30%, but much higher for the wealthy. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Uranium Mining.
Crime is well under control, thanks to a well-funded police force. Caribe Sky Island's national animal is the ant and its currency is the palm.
