RE: Freelancer Crossfire 2.0 - Crackling - 04-13-2015 ![]() I like Crossfire too. RE: Freelancer Crossfire 2.0 - The.Wizard - 04-13-2015 (04-13-2015, 04:25 AM)Freedom Phantom Wrote: I wasn't complaining about the lack of balance. Fighting 3 Sabres with 6 Wyrm MK II's each on a Hornviper Falcon is always fun. (The Mission when you go to Sol for the first time, in Dublin.)Transport mission is fine now, just enter formation with that "Ghost" transport and that's it. When you reach Earth, leave form and dock on Earth, buy Order photon cannons, undock and enter form with Ghost again. There is a Custodian jg behind planet Manhattan, leads to X-3403 sys,go there between vanilla missions then to Minor and farm Rhainland BS escape pods in front Toledo, then sell it to prison stations.Best way to earn money. In X-3403 sys buy new ship,i was flying black eagle.Try it,it's so cool. @JayDee-try Sp,storyline leads you to all this galaxies, you can explore and find ships, wrecks, fight and so on. MP is kinda pointless when you have CF space that big and only 10 players online. As much as i heard, they use it mostly for exploring and hunting those crazy npc's. Yes,music is so great,it gives new meaning to FL. I always thought one of the reasons why new Gallia systems are "problematic" is boring, almost melancholic music. It takes away your will to live ,much less will to play. But that's just me. RE: Freelancer Crossfire 2.0 - pillow - 04-13-2015 I know most things about Cross. And you seriously think I didn't enter formation? Lol, I'm not that retarded. And I'm pretty sure they're called Phoenix Project Cannons. And, well, all I did was get enough money for a Black Eagle in Custodian then sell it for a Falcon when I reached Rheinland in the story. Game was easy even then. Players in disco are far more advanced than the AI in cross. xd And, well, I'm done with it. That transport mission gave me enough trouble. RE: Freelancer Crossfire 2.0 - SnakeLancerHaven - 04-13-2015 Well, lol. The NPCs are indeed very tough, they cheat, they hack in CF 8| Like srsly, not even a play can Turret Steer and Engine kill that brutaly. You guys should try fighting the Coalition Rogues, brutallelelelelest NPCs in CF. Like srsly, the Engine kill and while they engine kill they shoot from all directions you try to outturn them they just shoot with their turrets at ya while turning in engine kill, Q___Q. But yea, as I said, Crossfire isn't like Discovery when you begin to play. The rules are different, you start as a newb then you have to know the routes you have to follow first, it means you have to kinda play Singleplayer inside the Multiplayer server AGAIN before you start into any PvP action or any interaction with players. It must be done, you have to visit Sol, you have to visit Coalition Space, Inner Core, Lost Paradise, kill Nomads, Kill Aliens, get propper Armor, Shield, Power Plant, Shield Upgrade, propper guns and missiles and a ship that you will get while doing this. You can't start into PvP at beginning, because then everything there will look unbalanced for you. It takes a while until you figure which ship suit you the best, but again it's probably gonna be the one that's mostly used. Crossfire has no restarts, so it also means YOU HAVE TO GET EXPERIENCED before you get into any interaction. Yes, CF forces you to actually check out the universe and check out almost everything before you can interact with Players propperly. While in Discovery, you just need money 8| nah jokes aside, in Disco you can start as a trader and so on and so on, joining trading factions and dunno what, you know very based on Vanilla. But in Crossfire you have to actually find locations yourself. You are always after certain goals that you have to accomplish before the next step can be taken. Just and advise for me to newbs, you have to follow all the steps before entering any fight or interaction with Players. The Roleplay system isn't the same either, you have Licenses which describe what you are and since CF Universe is based on 2 Big Human Factions, one Split fighting each other, the other one dealing with Aliens. The Alliance and the Coalition. But the Alliance in this one isn't Rheinland vs Liberty or Bretonia vs Kusari, no you have 2 Forces which play an important role into which way the Houses are going to continue. One is the Alliance Star Fleet (ASF) that wants to emerge all the colonies into the old Alliance again. The other one is the Confederated Strike Force, which doesn't want that the Houses emerge, they want that the Houses stay seperate. So these 2 groups fight each other, and those are the only one realy fighting each other across Sirius. Coalition just does it's own stuff in another Sector while having a NAP agreement with the Alliance, because they fight Aliens. Also Daam K'vosh is present there, so yea a huge Alien/Human Battle is also noticable, kinda like Star Citizen. Only this time, Daam K'vosh seem to fall down slowly as the other Alien Races fight each other as in general but all unite against Daam K'vosh, so ye DK is kinda screwed and Humans help DK in a way. More like, not the Humans, but Trent himself, a part of Humans agree, the other ones are against the alliance between Humans and DKs. So ye, you have like 3 Factions that have real Roleplay worthyness inside CF universe. One is the ASF, the other is the CSF and the third is the Coalition, you might add Order as 4th but I myself wouldn't. Though in CF, the Order is accepted as a good organization, unlike Disco and they've spread across Sirius kinda, so the order is kinda the new representative of the Alliance in that moment, however that might change too, it all depends on which side is going to win, the ASF or the CSF. That's why, as far as licenses goes (kinda like IDs) you have 2 Factions you can be, ASF or CSF, that would be a main ID, then you have secondary one telling about your role, a Merc, a Pirate Syndicate, a Police, a Smuggler. So, official clans get to choose which side they're fighting, ASF or CSF, while indies just stay with Secondary ID's (Licenses). inRP, the relevant factions are: CSF, ASF, Coalition, Aliens (tons of em), The Order. @Punisher no, basilisk sucks in PvP, Saracen is bestest :3 (Trust me I know it, I'm an old CF player) RE: Freelancer Crossfire 2.0 - The.Wizard - 04-13-2015 (04-13-2015, 03:21 PM)Freedom Phantom Wrote: I know most things about Cross. Wow dude, last thing i wanted is to sound insulting so...yeah... RE: Freelancer Crossfire 2.0 - Sath - 04-13-2015 I love Crossfire for one important thing...the feel of playing vanilla Freelancer all over again, but with better graphics and hundreds of things to explore. I may not be a fan of the way they have made those missions, but exploring, has got a real meaning to it in CF and I always get the adrenaline whenever I play CF, just like it was, all those years back, playing Vanilla FL. I will always play CF for that sole reason, nostalgia. |
