I was thinking about thresher-battleship fights, you have two OP'ed ships that can deal great damage to a battleship while kiting all of its fire, that being the bottlenose and the thresher, that are seen on the field fairly often, adding this new model to the picture would change things drastically.

Your ship line is complete and balanced aka lets see at Order - they have a carrier, but they don't have a battlecruiser etc. And I would prefer fighting with an overlord than with something that resembles the model being suggested, as it looks pretty OP - having a fwd gun and both strafe and TS friendly shape is a no go for balance, hence why valor has its fwd gun being some kind of "compensation" for its rubbish TS abilities.
1.In a duel, there is really like no way, I've tired everything from blinfire charge, to cruise EK shooting, to running and strafing, to TS and EK bumping I can't take it down.
2. I would encourage the usage of them but whenever we do people QQ about us ganking, or some other ridiculous excuse. I do like using those ships too which is why I dont think we should have more than like 3 krakens.
3. Perhaps, but that's what devs are for, soul recommended making the FG more of a chain fire, and giving it only 2 cerbs with the armor around a ransuer-legate. Of course if I was using this gebs and ossies would stand no chance huehue but then again every ship has weaknesses as well as strengths which I'm sure can and will be exploited. The core ship line is average, bottlenose is best in group fights, same with the thresher for fighting bs, the mako is average, the only ship it can't take down at all is the Geb.

About Order, OC and Sairs... Ye they have Light and Heavy variant of Battleships... APM has Battlecruiser and two gunships. No need to add another Battleship just because you can't kill a Geb?
About your pervious edit into your post I can use the mako, conn is 1 command away when I get home tomorrow.
The core has the support of all the houses except Kusari and gallia, and is supplied by APM, we have been doing lots of shippments and RP to justify this.
It's not just about the Geb, look at my first reply to bloxin, the other ships are decent, but the BC gets Rekt by most crusiers, and in duels thresher is more average (crusier duels). The orca is trash and the bottlenose is only good In group fights.

The whole problem I see with this ship being a potential AP addon, is its shape and fwd gun (not to mention you already have a complete ship line). As I already said, adding something that changes the shaping that AP follows completely, will change the way of how core tactics are handled in combat, and thus ruin the whole balance.
And to be more specific - lets say you have a mako and a thresher combo against an ossie and rehseph combo, on each side you have two ships that are in a way resembling each other and this is part of the balance itself.

Support of all Houses is nice... But when for example Liberty, Rheinland or Kusari corps brought you some stuff? Not talking about loss of convoys if you are going through Gamma? Just an example... Samura prefers to supply Corsairs... Kishiro, DSE, Ageira and etc don't care about Omicrons because Profit > Danger.

Fgs drain energy and it's hard to hit an ossie or a Geb with them, boom, there's your first weakness. We don't really use tactics lol, we just charge in and kill and improvise it wouldn't be different with this xD.
That's were a Geb comes in and says "hey there weak little mako time to die"

1. I'm pretty sure you're joking here xD. If you are the mako, and eden is the thresher then hell, a combo of you both can be pretty deadly.
2. Talking about balance again - you have battlecruisers, something that Order does not, and I'm pretty sure that even a thresher alone could handle a geb.

True, this is an obstacle, which is why we are doing RP with APM to get a small amount of them, with iridium coming in the next update I'm sure we will have something to tempt the houses to trade with us.

That's the problem, there's no other way, even running and strafing results in failure, it's easy for the gebs to just side strafe and keel things.

Even with Iridium 3/4 of house corps won't supply you. Why would they do that if there are perfect and safer routes in the House spaces? Like ores.
