anyway, the problem in the OP is annoying. There should be a rule against engaging with just macroed lines that actually makes pre-engagement RP possible.

All depends on where the admin team is prepared to draw a line in the sand. Honestly, macro'd cloak engagements look like a fairly reasonable place to put that line, to me at least.

Alley, I'm too much of a newb at this to know what you mean by cloak sounds. Do they emit a constant hum or something that I should be able to notice?
Aye, and if it was a battleship that attacked, having no CD, it meant he wouldn't have been able to stop you if you could live for 60s, 20 if you use a medium cloak. remember, the tides can easily turn. that ship can jump in on some snubs/bombers with CD's, and be left helpless with no way to cloak and no CM flares to even try to escape. 2 bombers make just about any capital cloak pointless.
Part of the value of the action on this server is that you can do just what was done. As much as sitting around in space talking is great, so do players get drawn in over things like cloaks, and ambushes. People rage rather easily when they are sometimes also guilty of wanting to have it their way as much as the other guy. Next time that cloak might spell his doom, or not. Its like having to deal with life and death period. Learn from the experience, don't oorp rage over every possible way to lose, and that doesn't just go out to the OP, it happens all to often around here.
Here's the cloak sound, last time i checked you can hear within 3k of a cloaked ship.
