Ugh no, It would only enhance the existing Metagaming. The Rank is useless and the system display should be limited to like 3-4 systems away. Everything further should be Too far or Sirius
Leave it as it is.

People who metagame already know how to spot things based on ranks, and probably already have a good impression of "Oh, this name was a USI indy, oh this guy was a BHG indy".
If people want to metagame, they will, this is just making the rank section different.

My two cents: I'd prefer it as it is. It works, it's not broken.
Of course there's a problem with Metagamers, and it is not possible to counter them. This however would give even another opportunity for metagaming, and even if you can't fight it, encouraging it is surely the wrong way.
