The cloaking device makes it impossible to target you. If I had it, no-one could see me, and no-one could hit me either. But I could shoot everyone else all I wanted.
For obvious reasons, cloaking was left out.
That, and you can't turn it off once it's equipped.

Actualy I think you can't shoot with cloak on me and Jamez where mucking around on lan with things seeing if he could hit a starflyer moving 3000 with weps fireing at 1000 a sec refire and stuff :crazy: :crazy: :crazy:

if someone has made a cloak, i am suprise no one has made is control able, i would have thought it would have been place in a weapon slot style place so it could be activated by pressing fire (L Mouse Button).
this would have meant it would be linked to the weapon energy and have a final usage limit when you energy ran out. also it would mean you could not fire your weapons as they would both drain your power and give away your position. if it was also always placed on port 11 it could not be used by pressing a keyboard button
(lol anyway some of us have bought a ship with a bug ridden cloak any way lol (just a bug i experienced))

No...
A ship is invisable. still shows on radars... but it's invisable. So no to your question, no cloaks, won't be any cloaks, never was a cloak and even if there was we wouldent be able to use it, or buy it, because it's something you have to put on a ship through Ioncross server op.
