Personally, I'd say forget the Guardian+Rapier hybrid, cause that makes little sense imo for Hackers, as they were ( at the start ) ex-Agiera employees, and as such,probably didn't really have many Guardians/Avengers/whatever in hand. However, they had unlimited access to borderworlds , civilian and Outcast ships, and at the moment those are not that much different by design ( think Rapier - Raven's Talon or Falcata - Waran ) however, as Swallow quited from someone earlier, they were to head towards a much sleaker shape with possibly less then the usual armor but more agility, speed and powercore over # of guns etc.
Dunno if I helped anything, or just said things you already heared before, but I'd go for something unusual, even like the Sutinga , with a bit of borderworlds / Outcast in it.

But Hackers used to have their own shipline which was repurposed as general Borderworlds ships (Bayonet, Falchion, Broadsword).
