Planet Gaia isn't actually unexplored, as the Cambridge Research Institute has scientists down on the planet (they even have small research bases on the planet). No major settlements are allowed. Rich tourists can sometimes purchase tickets to land on the planet and have a look around though.
I am against adding any new alien species into the game, to be honest. It could be possible to work in some kind of Daam-K'Vosh pet species or something, but I think you would be best talking to Treewyrm about those possibilities.

You know what, I like this idea and if it gets off the ground I'd enjoy the opportunity to provide some input/help.
I'm not sure however what the best approach would be (Gaia or from another system far away)
Both could easily work and Gaia can be incorporated into both. They can even "fight" the intruders as will'o wisps would... that is somehow lure trade/science ships into dangerous nebulas, where they get destroyed/crippled.
They could be another one of the Dom'Kavosh creations. Another "caretaker" created to watch over a certain area, in a differant way to that of the Nomads.

heh, not a bad idea, could be a pain to get going. as there is MAJOR resistance to anything new here lately. I wish you luck tenacity and that you have enough of your name to get it done. Hit me up if you wnat direct input as well, here simply isn't a good place.

Don't mind this idea if you can work it out, it would add some fresh RP but as said, there would be heaps of opposition from almost everyone. Also...nomads are based of about 80-90% energy, only 10 or so percent of themselves is actually a corporeal being, meaning their bone structure, and they can pretty much change that into energy too. Though they keep it for the purpose of having forms.
