To be honest that one was kinda dumb.

ya, ever new systems and jumphole rework aimed at elongating travel in the face of a diminishing playerbase.

Real smooth.

Now that's something I haven't thought about. In vanillia lore, no bigger ships but freighters could jump through the holes...

The Osiris and Walker's battleground quite happily used holes to get around. The only time Trent and co are sent ahead alone is when they have to retrieve the Nomad power cell, and the only reason the Osiris can't use that one is because it's explicitly stated to be collapsing. To the extent that if you take too long it closes and you fail the mission.

As the playerbase reduced, I think it's time to bring back some of the Jumpholes that existed in previous versions of this mod, and even Vanilla, that made travelling shorter.
Omega 11- Omega 7; Omega 11 - Omega 3; Honshu - Hokkaido; Cambridge - Leeds; Theta - Eta - Alpha; Tau 37 - Alpha; Sigma 13 - New Berlin; Sigma 13 - Chugoku; Honshu - Chugoku just to name a few.
Not all of them have to be brought back but if most of them do it'll be much appreciated.
Those are the ones that I remember without any wiki digging, but I'm sure there are more, so if anyone else remembers a useful jumphole that used to exist and now doesn't, feel free to share it here.
Also, opinions.

While I do appreciate the sentiment, almost all of those jump holes are significant shortcuts that are essentially unbalanceable save for moving them 200 Ks from the nearest base or trade lane. (Hokkaido-Honshu is likely to make a comeback.)

However, there is major system design renovation work in progress aimed at slimming down on excessive jump hole links in places where they're not needed in order to streamline travel. Shortening the distance between Alpha and Gamma - including not having to fly around a giant minefield - is one of the notable changes (and yes, trimming systems where possible too).

Sorry, I didn't realise we left a dead horse on the forums. I'll get some moderators to clean it up right away.

Fair enough Echo, but bringing back the S13 - New Berlin hole with Wild NPCs would be fun.
