BH Destroyer Weapons' Setup - mjolnir - 10-27-2008
BHG destroyer problem is not that it sucks so much... it's problem is that the BC is completely uber and yet in the same class.
Also I know about some 5 good cruiser pilots on this server.... party because it doesn't make much sense to use a cruiser now. GBs can pirate and are much faster and BS have much more firepower.

its nice to have everyone saying that in 4.85 the BHG destroyer is rubbish... - but i think its gonne be one of the best. - not everything is about armour and firepower. - the BHG destroyer ( unless its been scaled up while i wasn t around ) is one of the smallest - and thanks to its shape, its gonne be a real pain to fight ( with an equal ship )
i think its one of THE gunboat killers and competitive against other destroyers / cruisers.
no, its not too powerful, cause it only has 8 guns. - no, it cannot take the punishment of most other destroyers. - but its thin like a kusari destroyer and extremely agile.
personally - i d fly it over the battlecruiser in 4.85 ( or even over the battleship ) .... its one of the ships that might not be the best - but one of the most flexible in most situations. - a good pilot, and it can take out a corsair destroyer easily. - ( ... well, at least i am quite sure about it )
its not an uber ship at all.... not a ship that makes the enemy wet his pants. - but its a ship that is able to win against supposedly much stronger ships. - a ship that ll make its enemies unhappy - cause for a ship of its class, it can really dodge well. ( and i think it got a custom hitbox now - to its advantage... cause personally, i only gave it a tube which covered a lot of space. - now that its a custom one - even bombers will have trouble with it )

I've fought a Bounty Hunter destroyer when it had some Zoner Guns and one missile turret on it. I was in a Taiidan bomber at the time, and I can tell you this... NEVER GET IN FRONT OF IT!! Do not let the pilot 'Z anchor' to get a clean shot, and if you see missiles, CM and turn like no tomorrow.
I managed to rip the shields up and SN the missiles turret by pure luck:D It was ripped clean off, after that the fight was a long 'evade and supernova before shields regenerate' one... I eventually won once I had help from some Corsair backup.
The BHG Destroyer is a worthy opponent if there is a decent pilot at the helm. Don't overuse the missile turrets and from what I can tell you on the receiving end, it rocks. It's a tough cookie to hit.
