Let me guess your all pirates right? Btw i also see this as a good idea. For you pirates: You dont like the idea because its more comfortable for you to wait by the gate to haunt the traders down! If youwant to pirate work for it! If you cant intercept the transporter befor it jumps your loss better luck next time!

Bowex are notorious pirates, yes. Darn, @Nexodius! You've foiled me, and my transparent attempt to block a coincidentally bad idea out of rotten selfishness, self-interest and nothing more!

I have been both trader and pirate and I say traders have it too easy in certain situations.

For example, the idea with removal of pulses from gates (or moving TLs farther away to distance akin to one in Omega-3, which is 3-K between them) from other topic is proposed only because of the very annoying TL bug, which causes ship that jumped in to go through inactive tradelane ring as if it was active.

As for the gate locking, it doesn't have sense at all. Why? Well, pretty simple: no way around or too long way around, as I stated in my previous post. It would make pirating even more hard than that is now, to be honest. We do not want things that might harm roleplay anyway, do we?

It would make the lane hackers as a faction superior to other pirate factions becasue they would still be able to open the gates. ))

RE: Jump Gates - pillow - 12-16-2015

On one hand, it would make sense. Pirates would need to go through jumpholes.
On the other hand, what Traxit said. Would kill the remaining unlawful activity.

RE: Jump Gates - WesternPeregrine - 12-16-2015

Not saying this should go into the game, but perhaps consider applying this situation on the border jumpgates only?
Frankfurt - sigma-13 Gate gets this characteristic ,but not the Frankfurt - New Berlin one, for example.

RE: Jump Gates - Alestone - 12-17-2015

Personally, my thoughts were more along the lines of:

Why in the names of all the gods would Liberty allow the Gallic military to access gates into California?

I still question the validity of counting PayorDie, SeeyaBye as RP.
