RE: This was the last time I brought my team to the Taus to fight like this - Lythrilux - 02-16-2016 Aaaaah... ye old ganking discussion. Never gets old. Unfortunately. Both sides just chill with a sandwich and a cup of coffee and next time you pvp be considerate of the other side. Sounds like the anti-IMG force played poorly this time though. RE: This was the last time I brought my team to the Taus to fight like this - Connor - 02-17-2016 One side will always have a different opinion to another when it comes to something like this. Someone could say this happened and then the other guy could say that happened which in turn causes a massive blow out, the two sides bite at each other and don't back down. Unfortunately this went and happened in TS. I could give my side on what happened during the fight but this is going to get us no where because both sides are very strong when it comes to their feelings about the fight. Looking back on it now and hearing what I heard in TS, I'm going to hold my hand up and say I apologise for bringing the Marduk and I will change my attitude on how I use it. I couldn't do much against the fighters, but that's completely besides the point. I've spoken to you, Jack and Omi, to try and get rid of the 'Bad Blood' that this could have caused. I hope it has. Whether or not it has done is another thing. I would suggest that everyone who was 'Pissed off' in that fight takes a small break but I know that won't help and the bad blood between IMG and Co with the Outcasts and Co will always be there to make things worse. The taus should be a fun place to be in. A lot of things go down there. A lot of factions have ZoI there. A lot RP can go down and a lot of people play there. Both sides need to encourage fair fights, both sides need to offer respect and keep the same ship classes fighting each other. As soon as one side stops, shit will hit the fan again. Lets be mature, lets put our feelings aside and lets honour our opponent(s). Lets not have this happen again. RE: This was the last time I brought my team to the Taus to fight like this - Vendetta - 02-17-2016 Oh hey, its just like New York again, all those months ago. RE: This was the last time I brought my team to the Taus to fight like this - Wesker - 02-17-2016 So what your saying is its time for me to park my GRN gunboat in tau 23? Alrighty then Ive got another playerbase to destroy . RE: This was the last time I brought my team to the Taus to fight like this - Lennox - 02-17-2016 People just need to chill out. It's -just- a game after all. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. If you can't take it and start raging, take a break, like snoopy said. While it's true that being considerate of others is also important, you can't always have the best balance. And it's only realistic that one side manages to overpower the other with reinforcements. Take it as a flow of the game, a factor that shifts blocks around and makes everything flexible. After all, fights with fixed numbers would get boring like hell after a while. Now take a breather already, god damn it! RE: This was the last time I brought my team to the Taus to fight like this - nOmnomnOm - 02-17-2016 Thanks @Skorak for saying what I wanted to say already for this response. (your sig) RE: This was the last time I brought my team to the Taus to fight like this - Shiki - 02-17-2016 Balance, balance never changes. RE: This was the last time I brought my team to the Taus to fight like this - Wiljan - 02-17-2016 I don't know what the fight is about, the last time I checked, it happened in Tau 23, and the IMG took a hiding, me being one of them. Although I didn't last long, against that Outcast Dreadnaught of course, I still enjoyed it. To me it just make more sense that reinforcements get in to the fight, even in real life it happens. It does make it more interesting. This was a spur of the moment fight, and that is better than the fights planned before where only a certain type of ship can take part, or a certain amount of people can take part. If more fights can happen like this, it would be more interesting, but that's just my opinion. RE: This was the last time I brought my team to the Taus to fight like this - nOmnomnOm - 02-17-2016 In the end of the day there is no real prize for winning or loosing a group fight like this. Just bragging rights. RE: This was the last time I brought my team to the Taus to fight like this - Jack_Henderson - 02-17-2016 @everybody who was not there: Please, save your wise comments. You misunderstand the situation for something it is not. @"Drrobe": Around 20 players were somehow involved, I would guess. Look at the lack of kudos after a massive fight. Look at the complete lack of kudos written by experienced group pvpers or group leaders. It's more telling than the few kudos that actually appeared. Moreover, I doubt that your intervention here adds much, as you were not there this time, and you were not there the last 10 times. I get your point, however it's not a really substantial one, as the low numbers of quotes that you analyzed clearly show. Quote:So do you forsake encounters because you personally did not like it, and are potentially lessening encounters for others that did? You can't know that, so I'll clarify it: I am the only person (this is no exaggeration) who has been organising the response to the OC+GC+Asco Tau group. My faction facilitates the interaction (by e.g. group mining), which draws the offer of a pew by the Asco group (who are mainly cool and experienced guys and normally wait for us to get enough people, so it is a fight and not a massacre), and then I start drumming up a more or less makeshift force to counter what starts arriving for the pewing. Like it or not: these are the facts. And surprise, surprise: I am not willing to organise anything that leaves me and my faction disappointed repeatedly. I am not keeping anybody from stepping up, but I won't do it. It is not worth my investment of time and energy, if this is what I get in return. @Dark_Predator: At some point, you will understand that 8-10 snubs on 3-4 Ascos [2 of which are top-5 of GB pilots] plus a few snubs is not a gank. These are the past fights you hinted at. Just realize that gunboats stack very powerfully when spammed. But hey: Just cloak, refill and come back again. Then hug the Ascos (or Razor Cruisers, or Dreads) and see your opponents melt/insta-explode, and cloak before dying to refill. ![]() |
