Yesterday I announced my retirement to the dev and admin teams. I initially wasn't going to make a public post about it, but I think it does hold some value.
Things have gotten out of hand and I'm no longer willing to sacrifice every evening and weekend to keep this place up and running. Was there even any bit of enjoyment coming out of it, perhaps there would still be a reason, but no. It's a waste of time at this point.
The worst for me is that I've been trying to leave this place for more than a year now, and each time it seemed to be somewhat working, some major screw up happened and people were running around on fire hysterically flapping arms. I had to come back to fix it seeing how broken the entire thing was and no one else in sight seemed capable of fixing it. I always felt I'd be guilty of killing the community if I stood idle. No more of this, I will not do anything next time this happens.
All I can say is, if someone steps up to replace me (might happen, but doubt it), perhaps it's time for our local memesters to stop being unbearable little children. King Boo is on the verge of drifting away and Spazzy is already showing severe signs of burning out. To these players, I highly recommend you cut the crap before that happens, but it's not like you care very much right? After all, discovery is nothing but "a pvp game with pixel ships", there's certainly no need at all to be considerate of others and especially the few that sacrifice almost all of their free time so you can freely go harass other players while stroking each other on teamspeak.
Still, I would like to give a big thanks to the very few people that genuinely cared about how a nightmare Disco has been for me for the past two years. You know who you are.

On behalf of...Well myself...Thank you Alley for stickin' around as long as you did. I know it was hard to handle childish folks such as ourselves when working on the Plugin and all the other stuff piled upon you.
I hope that what you move onto next gives you a better sense of accomplishment and less stress in your life. This Coalitioner wishes you could take him with you. q_q But I got my own kids to handle. X_X
