Get like a hold full of different commodities and vent them all off into space at once. Movie like escape by dropping the trash behind them. Now to only increase collision damage with objects and we have a viable way of cutting a chase. 8|

In all seriousness, I like the idea.

I think it should be done , at least for small miners , like 70 cargo scraper , it is a pain to jettison every second shot manually .

I dont like the jettison cargo key, BUT a /stuck key would be a cool one

RE: Jettison cargo key - HighHopes - 03-02-2016

Would be great for mining in open field and waiting for the transport/-s. It doesn't take a lot time to drop it manually, but with a small cargo, and dropping it every minute, it's a little bit annoying. And a hotkey would make the difference
And if you are in a big transport I don't think it would make a difference if you have a hotkey or do it manually, because you can just thrust and drop it and shot it (even manually) before the other person realizes (most of them).
So yes, if it is possible, I think it would be great.

Last I checked, mark group button was added. Isn't it too easy to press while under fire?

If developers are adding features making organised PvP combat more comfortable, why can't non-combat activities receive similar feature?

So what if trader intentionally destroys cargo while being pirated. Perhaps pirate could have made a more reasonable deal that trader would take.

So what if smuggler has it easier to dump all of the cargo? Smuggler would lose 100% profit in one press of a button. Otherwise, the loss might be 150% ( Confiscated cargo and issued fine ).

So what if miner is out in the fields making numerous dumps of ore? It would allow unlawfuls to cruise up, tractor it in thus punishing such mining activity and making quick buck in a matter of seconds.

I hope to see this implemented.

I give this a 'yes'. Mainly for mining, in an anapurna it's quick enough to fill up to make using the screen annoying.

For me it's mostly having to use the slider, not so much the screen itself. I'd suggest making the slider automatically set to "max units" rather then "1 unit" would be a nice compromise for these situations.

I'm sure that would annoy some people for one reason or another though!

^ Yes , this would be nice alternative for Jettison cargo button .
