the griffen - jshkornmiller - 11-14-2008 i got an arrow light fighter, I was in combat the other day and i dodged around for like 30 minutes and still had over half of my bots and bats. hehe, i just hate it only having two guns. i wish it had atleast three........ the griffen - mjolnir - 11-14-2008 ' Wrote:Even if you fix the hitbox, it's still a big target. Add in the powerplant that blows a fuse every time you pull the trigger, and it's weak shield, and it's not all that bad. It does have mad maneuverability, but some significant weaknesses to balance that out. ... just as every other HF....(Taiidan, Hammerhead, Centurion) who on the other hand have one less gun and turn much slower than it;) the griffen - Thexare - 11-14-2008 ' Wrote:... just as every other HF....(Taiidan, Hammerhead, Centurion) who on the other hand have one less gun and turn much slower than it;)Maybe, just maybe, the solution's not nerfing the good one? the griffen - guitarguy - 11-15-2008 I strongly recommend trading your Griffin for an Eagle. The Eagle was one of the best three vanilla ships. (The other two being the Titan and Saber) It's still formidable in Discovery. the griffen - mjolnir - 11-15-2008 ' Wrote:Maybe, just maybe, the solution's not nerfing the good one? Sure you can make all ships unhittable..... if you have time to set 5 hours for every fight. the griffen - Thexare - 11-15-2008 Drat, you've learned my plan! I wanted to make all fighters invincible, but now you've caught me! Damn you, Mjolnir! *shakes fist angrily* ... Or maybe, despite not playing a single Corsair, I'm actually suggesting improving the Centurion (reportedly, the Hammerhead's pretty good). The Crow doesn't seem much smaller than the Eagle (going by the docked view) - it doesn't have such large wings, which admittedly helps it considerably, but it's quite long and its wings are still rather big. An armor reduction could be in order, but the turning is one of the main draws of the ship - just like with the similarly-named CT series. I don't think it needs to turn into another flying brick... Admittedly, it's not as big a target as the Fantastic Flying Dinner Plate, but I hope that's not your idea of a well-balanced ship... |
