What Hoodlum is talking about is F1ing while Jumping. This can get you outta a tough situation.
Obviously, you are talking about something different, and it has happened to me once or twice, just randomly dying.
My advice? Use a different route.

That happened to me once before, in the Beta->S-19 jumphole. Since it was really laggy at the time, that would explain what happened. Much more logical than a corsair conspiracy anyway!
