I can't believe that there are 4 players voted yes ..... !! You probably have no idea about JohnyWalker and his history of helping people on discovery for ages!
I support you @JohnyWalker and i hope that you don't get affected by some negative attitudes around .. You are doing a great work here.
Good luck and see ya around.

Can I ask why a staff member has tampered with a poll in a non flood discussion?

RE: JohnyWalker work - nOmnomnOm - 03-27-2016

I voted yes because the pole is dumb.
Also I dont understand JonhnyWalker with his bad grammar.

RE: JohnyWalker work - SnakThree - 03-27-2016

This is a self-trial-by-forum. I doubt you would quit even if poll has more of "Yes" than "No". Therefore, this is rather stupid thread.

Why? lets consult @Snak3's wonderful and logical post quoted below and above:

On topic:
If you're teaching newbies bad things (like loltrader behavior) then dont teach them. If you want to teach them, then teach them how to behave properly.

I can't say I've ever met you ingame in any of the years I've played, but I agree with Sabre on this one. Teaching new players isn't a bad thing, but teaching them the wrong things will do more damage than good. I've flown around Pennsylvania on my Coalition, and I've only had lawfuls (i guess what people would call "your squad") chase me down and announce where I was, but once I told them that I was there peacefully they left me alone. I think it'd be better if they knew that it's alright to stick around unlawfuls and roleplay if they're not being openly hostile

Maybe is not important for you, but it is for me... it is my whole life inside Discovery Mod...

You can ask some Angels about how Im teaching, as they already said me... "keep the good work" and not only Angels.

All this is because those unlawfuls want the lawfuls wait them stopped with the money in the hand... Use your disruptors unlawfuls! its part of the game! We can keep interactions at 10k... not need to approach more if you just want RolePlay hahahaha.

Am I the only one who try to keep distances with pirates?????

i like that you make some effort in teaching new players the game, however i don't think you are a good choice for them(there's plenty of reasons mentioned above and the other thread that 'started' this topic)

another thing i don't like about you is that you encourage new players to stick around penny when the system it should be merely a startup system,at best 10-30mins of their time and then leave it be and focus on other things they like to do

What the.... LOOOOL... I can show you omy inforcard in my miner (3 routes to Kusari) for to use with my Taxi services.... I try to move ALL ships away from Pennsylvania.... IM bored of saying everyone (newbies) "you must GO to explore! its also good for update your price list"

and as you can read from Snake.... Im usually doing convoys around sirius....

Seriously.... i readed a lot of accusations just for personal hate, and some not true (i have several eyewitness)

For clarify:

I mean not full quit from server...just because some guys dont like me... i mean quit from helping newbies.

RE: JohnyWalker work - Connor - 03-27-2016

Johny. I do have one thing to point out to you and it somewhat concerns me if you're trying to teach people.

You might need to brush up on your rules, take a look at them and relearn them. The amount of rule lawyering that comes from you after interactions isn't fun and most of the time the guys that have done something have been perfectly fine but you bring them up and tell them it's against the rules. Especially when you don't notice stuff that has been said.

Take some time, read the rules and try not to rule lawyer as much as you do.

Your intentions are good and we need more people like this to help the new guys but just try to do less of the above because we don't want new guys being taught this same thing and rules that aren't true.

There's enough people leaving this already dieing game and we don't need more, especially when those are trying to help newer guys.

Just don't forget this is constructive feedback so don't take this the wrong way.

Edit: Also, from what I've read please take the feedback from people that have said something here and don't tell them they're outright wrong. Listen to what they have to say, acknowledge it and ether work on it or let it go.
