I believe CR was predominantly Greece and the East European countries closest to it, and then up all the way to Scandinavia.
Also I firmly believes the Liberty, while predominantly American, did posess people from Canada, whilst Bretonia was filled with Britain and those closest. Hispania most likely was a filled with Spain/Portuguese peoples, then extra space was made to fit Italy and most likely the countries near the Italian peninsula (going by ethnic groups that is).
That is mostly my view, as having them being specifically Nation A, B, C doesn't seem right. The main countries were the initial backers but those who could make it from Canada, Portugal, etc would fit.
Also France's sleeper was sabotaged so like, anyone close to France Prolly got screwed. Like Africa.
I think of it more culture than nations. Canada is closer to America in culture than England, so they'd be on the Liberty. While Austria is close to Germany, so it'd be on the Rheinland

Also as far as Greece is concerned, I think (and said so many times) that it was what Corsairs were meant to be but Digital Anvil just couldn't be bothered making another namepool or something.
(Also they're poor which would draw some parallels with the current rl, but I'm not getting into that at 5am in the morning).

Though, regarding Northern countries... I dunno if they were on board of any ship. Some nations didn't get to Sirius like Africa countries, Asians(Except China and Japan), even if some factions have their themes. The Order - Egypt and North Africa, The Core - South Africa, etc.

The Core is a blend, as 90% of thier caps are named after Roman gods, with some Greek in the mix. Also, I don't think the Order is any North African named...90% of it all is Egyptian, which only ves from Osiris/Anubis, the ships. In a twist of irony the Order was more death centric...just Egypt was chosen over another mythology.

China was destroyed since it was a Coalition nation. Kusari is lore-wise entirely based on Japanese culture, and potentially has South Koreans in the general population too.
