That's nonsense. You definitely do need windows. Dogfights in Freelancer take place in eye-seeing distances, thanks to ECM, and operating in asteroid fields and nebulae is supposed to be something that requires a lot of eyesight. There's a reason why every fightercraft ever has a cockpit, which would otherwise be considered a structural weakness.
I have to agree with what the others said. It doesn't look like a ship that is fit for operating in asteroid fields.

It doesn't look like a fighter at all imho. Though It is really nice model and I would deffinately take it as a replacement for Corvo.

An ye, you DO need windows in snubcraft. Perhaps not in larger things, but snubs? 100% needed.

Let's not bring this up right here.
If you feel dissatisfied with these slits I will turn it into an ordinary cockpit, sure.
But again, FL has nothing to do with most kind of engineering sense.

As a 2ic of an unofficial xeno faction, I'm very touched to see someone working on something xeno-related, so firstly I'd like to thank you for bothering to begin with.

Secondly and slightly more importantly, I think the whole design needs to be slimmed down a whole lot, probably following in the steps of both the Eagle and Prosecutor, just designed bearing in mind that 'capital' isn't something the xenos have a whole lot of.

I honestly like the wings and the engines as well as the design for the cockpit, but the whole middle-section / body needs to go and be re-done. The reason I like the engines and wings is because they look quite 'bare-bones', as if not a whole lot of resources could be set aside to build the ship, but it was still built to last, probably incorporate more or less the same feel into the main body of the ship and it'll hit several sweet spots.

Once again, thanks for bothering.

EDIT: Oh and for color schemes, I know it might not be everyone's thing, but make the ships a mix of regular slightly rusted titanium with red paint, maybe black accents here and there. Fits the xeno vibe.

I thought I was the 2ic.
But yes we need Xeno ships. I would personally like to see 'scrapped together' or a heavily modified Xeno Prossie-Kingfisher combo.

We love the work you do for the game, I'll try to send beer money(and not Novas)

Whenever xenos having ships is brought up the following designs enter my mind, a combination of elements of all three might be nice, but I'm not sure. It'll depend a lot on lore influence and realism towards disco's roleplay.

Yea, Example 1, looks like a good feel for the Xenos, maybe a red and black coloration instead of blue.

For feedback on Swallow's design, it definitely looks like an OSC design. I can agree with making a Kingfisher/Prosecutor design, as I feel like that's the type of ship a Xeno would have.

So they're ex-prisoners of the Libertonian labor force who pirate incoming traffic, however they don't seem to have a stable place of operations, nor a shipyard of any kind, so not necessarily are they going to have "brand new shiny ships" operating out of an asteroid. But one quote from the wiki states:

"Sponsorship was gained from Universal Shipping, to exchange for security of passage and to further their own ends of sabotaging the markets of their competitors"

So quite possibly a secret shipline could emerge from the sponsorship of Universal Shipping, deals worked, and some new snub designs for the Xenos came underway. Also not to mention their alliance with Hellfire Legion, some strings can be pulled there as well.

However the Xeno's themselves would have to make use of whatever they had in their disposal inside the small asteroid bases. These would most likely be editions and revamps of existing ships -- whatever they had. So there being a new shipline would have to most likely come from outside source, as they don't have the materials or productive capacity to create a new shipline.

So you could make a Prosecutor/Kingfisher, or a mix between an Eagle/Kingfisher, or a brand new ship altogether. But it would have a mixed feel from different influences and designers depending on where the contract was made.

But I believe it fits more for the civilian line of a Super Heavy Fighter or Freighter/Gunboat.
However, you did great.
