RE: Operation Tourbillon - Conclusion - GuapMan - 05-21-2016

I found it quite fun, even though i didn't get the ship i wanted till the end.
But that doesn't matter, it was fun! keen for the more events to come!

Was during some break in a battle near Battleship Embuscade, the Liberty Navy had more or less pulled out, thought some were gone to refill, all battles had stopped, and I was sure all my enemies were farther than 10k then, so I docked to restock. I got those PMs shortly after undocking...

I logged off straight away, pissed and wondering what was the point of that kind of foul play during such an event.

Sorry, that's a server rule, not a game mechanic. Take a look at the sanction forum to see which side is most guilty of abusing game mechanics.

[01:54:29] "Crazy" Kaze Dagon | Silver: Sorry to say, but whoever that guy is can go somewhere. Since he shieldran 4 times to the valor wall acompanied by solaris boat <3

That tells me all I need to know about what's going on in this event, which is why I personally haven't thought to go anywhere near it.

To be honest, I can't believe the winners are whining. Especially when people in the community make the effort to even things up for the LN side.

It's like as soon as the losing side puts up a fight (in an event you are destined to win, by the way), its not fair or fun anymore.

Real lack of class.

See Alley's post.
None.
And that was known from the start... which makes the way it was played by certain groups really weird.

Looking forward to more gallic invasions or maybe ever permanent Cali ZoI Smile It was a good event, thanks to everyone for participating!

If you want get a trial by forum, go for it. But, when i am getting shot at by snubs, solaris missile gunboats, razorboat cruisers in the middle of a 6+ Valor wall bored because no caps came to them at their base,
and some of my snub targets dock and come back refilled...

Welp. What did you expect?

Nah. I had already too much fire trailin' my arse.
Consider it a favor, since i took the time to warn you.

"trial by forum "
Haha, that sounds so important. I was simply giving one answer to a question. As for your heroic escape from "getting shot at by snubs, solaris missile gunboats, razorboat cruisers...", wow, you sound like you were alone there, but you had about as many snubs as we had valors, and knowing what you'd be facing, it was your choice to log snubs only, so deal with it.

Thanks, I think I now know what the "strange behavior" refers to, I wasn't there, but that sounds unnecessary and silly indeed. Just as unnecessary and silly as playing sanctionlancer, especially during that sort of event.

By the way Silver, like you pointed out, we almost only had that bulk of valors there. I think we had one VHF and I was like the only bomber GRN had, so two snubs. That's easy money for your team. I was probably the easiest blue you could have got.

So that was the one answer I gave to why the event was cut short. People might have been playing sanctionlancer, which I blame indeed, for it ruins the fun of everyone.

Yeah... Thanks. I guess I'll have to get used to do that.

Pot meets kettle. Plus 6 Snubs =/= 6 Valors. Hells. 2 Solaris GB's > 6 snubs.
And it was dealt with as it was.

Easy money in the middle of razors&valor wall. Yeaaaaaaaaaaah.
Let's go with that.

And to finish.....
If people didn't abused game mechanics not to give points, probably other people would not pull sanction reports.

Then, little ol' me... Who had the nerve to pm you instead of going full sanction report and
going for the... easy money, like you put it.
Seriously i can be such a... tsk.. sometimes, i know.

It was a fun event, very glad to see more of these. Sad to see it cut short.
For the record, what was the strange behavior and why was it a reason to pull the event rather than, dunno, remove the offending community members?
^ Things like :
RNS-1 : // i am about to die , kill me RNS-2 i dont want to give them points and money !
RNS-2 : // Ok ! Sad
or :
LNS-1 : // Hey look , RNS side log on 2 Valors , lets gank them with 6 Bombers !
LNS-2 : // He , he , he , they will be helpless ! Sad
and so on and vice versa . . .
It was a great event , despise people trying to ruin it with things like ones listed , but it should be stooped because of them , we just need harsher sanctions for them .
I cant wait for similar event , good job with this one , Admins ! (happy)
