First sig ever - Elvin - 11-27-2008 I would recommend you .PNG and Photoshop (I dont know, but I still think its the best for editing images) And use of some filters/effect to hide the gap in quality of images. My first one will be that: ![]() And yeah, the one I have now is the second one.Well, I like them, and I had some experience (altough little) from editing drawings of mine, but it was more like improvisation. First sig ever - Dopamino - 11-28-2008 Not bad Encheta, the way you set it up makes it look like more than just the text, screenshot and render that it is. I'd suggest using a more interesting font and just using the character's name, not the callsign of the ship. First sig ever - Exile - 11-29-2008 ' Wrote:Enrico and Victor where in my opinion the best photoshop artists here at Discovery. Dear ol' Enrico's still snooping around every now and then. Just staying out of the bigger parts. Victor, is well, Vic. Him be gone. Shame, good guy, friend 'n artist. Quickly did a couple of different versions with different fonts and colours as well (prolly not the best colour choices but meh..) - forgive the really screwed up text at the top of the second one. I've deleted that bit but havent exported it yet. I -think- Im getting better at this at least.. ![]() ![]() Figured out why I'm getting that ugly white line around my sig - apparently it's somthing to do with the way how CorelDraw anti-aliases the picture when you're exporting. I can turn it off, but then the sig (especially the with text) becomes all pixelised and blocky.. According to the people on the forums I went to, the newest version out has this problem fixed, but there's no way in hell I'm going to buy it as long as I have the install disk for this one.. Awell... I guess I'll have to find something that can crop the white out in some period of time. I've now put my 'updated' sig from the previous page into.. well, my sig, so no more comparing can be done between that one and my original. P.S. This is more a post of how I am going with things now - if you wish to continue commenting you're free to do so, but with hope I should be alright now with stuff. First sig ever - Captain - 12-04-2008 hello I had deleted those whtie lines for you, I hope you like it, also I saved it at PNG ![]() First sig ever - Boss - 12-04-2008 It looks really nice. Better than mine... First sig ever - Xing - 12-04-2008 you dont hav a sig you have some sort of auto-generated picture... First sig ever - Carme - 12-06-2008 ' Wrote:hello I had deleted those whtie lines for you, I hope you like it, also I saved it at PNG ![]() :s this thread has been attacked by the Whitespace Nazis... however neither of us were comepletely successful, and I CBA to remove the rest, because the tool im using wont select it all in one fell swoop, so its a pain to do that image... >.> *thinks to self*: stupid .Jpeg format, ruins everything... even if you convert to a PNG later... First sig ever - Encheta - 12-06-2008 Wow! I wasn't expecting this. Thankyou DeiSol and entrepreneur for getting that border out. Have to take DeiSol's one though - the left edge is a tittle less cropped on his.. Little presents are being wired to you both when I get online - DeiSol to your Trader and entrepreneur your MR. I'm not sure how much I'm meant to give for something like this. Hopefully what I do is enough.. P.S. Can I just use your link DeiSol or should I upload it somewhere else? Another forum etiquitte thing I'm not sure about... First sig ever - Leo - 12-06-2008 Can't find it now, but my first sig was just a gradient saying "SpAz, I'll end you." Black to white gradient... lol ~Leo |
