RE: TLAGSnet is meh - Pavel - 06-25-2016 Hmm... I do see your points now guys. However, TLAGSnet is still overpowered. It is op in particular combined with dock deny tool the official factions have. Don't you think it's too much, and too powerful combination, to scan cargo, monitor trade and lane traffic, and be able to deny docking rights? The only reason people don't qq about this yet is rather traditional low police activity. RE: TLAGSnet is meh - Skorak - 06-25-2016 No I don't think it is a problem. I would give even more factions /nodock if I could. It is so dumb that you sit at Manhattan and see that smuggler approaching and just docking. And you sit there... "Hey... pls stop". TLAGS is very powerful. Yes. But it really only scans you if you use the infrastructure. When I play unlawfuls I often avoid using it. RE: TLAGSnet is meh - sindroms - 06-25-2016 Turn it into a modue that can only be mounted on Liberators and their respective police ID LFs for other houses. Or make a tlagsnet module cost as much as a cap8. RE: TLAGSnet is meh - Ninja - 06-25-2016 Make lanes and gates unusable by pirates! RE: TLAGSnet is meh - Laura C. - 06-25-2016 Yes, yes, server is full of police players, it won´t hurt to nerf them, right? So people metagaming all the time and avoiding lanes or even whole system once there is RFP tagged ship in it is not enough. Lets make it even harder. Lets make playing lone cop almost worthless because their chance to catch any smuggler would be absolutely minimal. Sounds like fun, flying all around with minimal chance to catch anyone, eh? If anything, the proposed nerfs (applies for ideas mentioned in OP and by Spazzy) will just lower even more interest in playing cops (and that interest is already quite low in the community, despite all those "overpowered tools" which some claim police IDs have). This enforced cooperation you talk about is not possible, because police playerbase is already so low that there is almost nobody to cooperate with. Majority of police factions has like 5 active members. So yes, they will able to log in numbers...like three times a month. But playing lone cop would be almost pointless thus people will stop doing that. So few times a month you will see 2+ police chars logged, and the rest, there will be one. Result? The change will not promote more activity, it will in fact promote less activity because nobody will bother logging apart of organized patrols. So factions which has "overpowered tools" have traditionally low activity... In a community which tends to use every disbalance and exploit possible... Something does not sound right, don´t you think? Maybe those tools are not that overpowered as you think... RE: TLAGSnet is meh - Stoner_Steve - 06-25-2016 I'd just like to point out that Ageria can track any cargo in the lanes already house wide (and further I think) why wouldn't the police be able to do the same RE: TLAGSnet is meh - Shinju - 06-25-2016 I have to agree with Laura. TLAGSnet is useless anyway, because it can't beat smugglers "watching" player list, they will log off as soon as police player appears in same House space. Police has this feature, Navy has battleships and so on and so on. Pavel, stop nerfing what isn't broken. RE: TLAGSnet is meh - Mephistoles - 06-25-2016 Nodock seriously needs to be expanded to other factions, but the people that would be responsible for implementing such a change disagree.
