She stepped out and nodded, going to the door Dr. Becker had pointed to and opened it, greeting Dr. Herrera as she walked in. "Hello, Dr. Herrera. Dr. Becker sent me to you." She stood at the other side of her desk, sitting down on the chair already stationed there.

The doctor looked up. "Hello Amber. I am Marinna Herrera and I'm the psychologist. I'll just need you to answer a few questions and then I can send you on your way." She looked back at her pad. "Now...tell me about her family. Parents? Brothers? Sisters? How are they doing?" She asked in a somewhat cheerful, yet careful voice. She looked at Amber, letting her choose her answers at the pace she wanted. She seemed pleasant enough.

"No brothers or sisters, I was an only child," She says nonchalantly. "My mother and father are currently resting on Manhattan, likely in their 70s by now. They're doing well and I had a final contact with them before I left for The Order, telling them I was moving to Kusari. It felt a little weird to lie to them."

"Mhm..." She looked over at her. "Why did you decide to join the Order, Miss McCray?" Herrera knew the answer, or so the paper said. She wanted to hear it from her...especially as she needed a gateway into more deep questions, the ones that would really tell her what she needed to know.

"Honestly, Liberty started to just get...boring for me. I wanted to join the Liberty Navy but I never got around to it after I graduated from West Point. Also, The Order is fighting against the true threat: The Nomads."

"So you grew bored with Liberty, never joined the Navy..." She made a few notes. "Amber, how did you hear of the Nomads? Firsthand experience, word of mouth..you do say you never really encountered the Order, beyond the recruitment channel we have buried in the Dark Net, so...how?"

"My parents, before I left for here, were good friends with a man by the name of Michael King...They told me stories he told them when I was young, but suddenly, he just vanished off the face of the universe. Gone, just like nothing. I always wondered how my parents thought about him."

Herrera paused. "King's Landing, the major spaceport, was named after King. The man was one of a few who impacted the entire First Nomad War, and the reason you get to sit there and answer questions." She put down her pad.
