Sorry to hear someone raged at you dude, we aren't all like that, honestly.
Fly around and see how others interact with each other. You pretty quickly get the idea of how to type etc. RP can seem a little odd at first. I wasn't sold on the whole Role Play thing initially, but I quickly realised the game feels a lot more in depth this way.
If it gets too much, hop into conneticut and joke around. Keep in mind, the real value of disco is in the rest of sirius though.
