First Signature Help - Orin - 12-05-2008 Wow... Very nice for your first... Excellent actually. Layers are the big importance here though. Don't seperate them and you run into trouble later on. Try experimenting with borders as well. First Signature Help - Dopamino - 12-05-2008 If you find it unwieldy dealing with dozens of layers, you can organize them by group, just like you would files in folders on your computer. First Signature Help - Xing - 12-05-2008 that as well. But to be truthful, for me a sig doesn't have that many layers. A wallpaper, maybe. Sig... max layer I used was 37 I think. usually turns around 12. First Signature Help - jrgcool35 - 12-05-2008 ' Wrote:Wow... Very nice for your first... Excellent actually. Question about the borders, do you have to make them yourself, or are there pre-made ones? First Signature Help - Xing - 12-05-2008 I personally make them myself. First Signature Help - obnoxious1 - 12-05-2008 Very good job for a first Sig card! As everyone mentioned, Layers are the key. Try not to merge them into 1 layer , as stated b4, if you goof, less to fix. For borders & effects, I'm far lazier than Yue Fei. I use the Eyecandy plug in sets as well as Harry's filters & brushes, & a few other effects plug ins I have picked up some where. A great place to find free brushes & some filters / plug ins are the following: http://resources.deviantart.com/applications/psbrushes/ http://www.rebel-heart.net/brushes/ http://www.8nero.net/brushes/ http://veredgf.fredfarm.com/vbrush/main.html http://www.cybia.co.uk/brushes.htm http://www.dubtastic.com/ resources.php http://www.itsuji.net/brushes/ Photoshop: http://www.alienskin.com http://www.flamingpear.com http://thepluginsite.com/ http://www.freephotoshop.com/html/free_plugins.html PSP: http://hem.passagen.se/grafoman/plugtool/plugs.html http://www.pspug.org/filters/filtersff.shtml http://graphicssoft.about.com/od/pluginsfiltersfree/ http://www.btinternet.com/~cateran/simple/ http://www.graphicxtras.com/ 3DS MAX: http://www.cadalyst.net/extras/plugi...erialmax5.html http://www.habware.at/duck3.htm h ttp://www.3dlinks.comnks.cfm?cat...bcategoryid=78 http://www.pluginz.com/genre/1?categ...7341c46296e9e1 I have HUNDREDS of more sites to get stuff from, renders, templates, yadda yadda, PM me for a complete list if you wish. First Signature Help - Xing - 12-05-2008 err personally... I only do for some ship renders, but thats all. No need to get that abusively crazy. First Signature Help - Orin - 12-05-2008 I make them myself. Even a one pixel wide white or black border makes the difference sometimes. I usually favor transparency over borders, though. (As you can plainly see.) First Signature Help - jrgcool35 - 12-05-2008 ' Wrote:err personally... I only do for some ship renders, but thats all. No need to get that abusively crazy. A question about ship renders, I just modded a copy of my Freelancer game so I can take renders, but is there a faster way than having to spend time working up the money, and then buying a ship? Is there a way to make my character spawn with a certain ship? Only for render purposes of-course. |
