no guns - no shields? - perfect, i d nuke mine them to death - oh, and i d spam missiles
oh - i guess you did not mean it literally - but included those....
without any weapons, you can "convince" the enemy, but only so much.
the positive way:
- people would chat a lot with each other - RP much etc.
the negative way:
- people would lurk about each other looking for something the other person did wrong - and then they d report them for being ooRP or something. a sanction would replace a kill.

That -forces- you to RP, as you can't PVP at all, unless its another low-level LF.

Quite a few of our BPAs who are not Authorized Firearm Officers fly around with only a CM, Shield, and Train Cruise disruptor.

there are to many pirates who are not interrested on RP
last nigh i have a conversation like this
pirat: halt! (disrupt the TL)
pirat: 3 mil or weapons go red
me: // how would it be with a story... its a RP server

and so on and on
end of it...i payed
and that was not the firt time... ever one with a trader char know it

I used to do that with Isabelle in a Rhino. Very fun, but too fragile to NPCs to my taste. Flown it a week.

Aside from being raped by NPCs while typing, I would do quite well without weapons or shields. Infact, several of my characters are flying ships that aren't really combat capable in any capacity (Junker in a CSV with a Barrager, Barrager turret, and Sunstalker missile, and a Civilian/Wilde in an armored transport with lots of starbeam-1 turrets), but they get by just find on RP alone.
Infact, most of my characters can get bye without really killing anything aside from NPCs most of the time. Heck, my LWB dosen't even 'pirate' in the traditional sense. If he's alone, he takes cover behind that metal bit outside the New Berlin <- Dresden jumphole and asks for donations and banters with the populace and voices his parinoia (and flirts with anything that even sounds vaguely efeminate). The only time he actively pirates is when he is flying with other LWB pilots on joint raids.

Well I dunno, I would not get killed, but I wouldn't have as much fun as I do when I mix RP and PVP,....the best of the two worlds...
