If this proves to be a problem, however, I will add a custom commod for this event so that I can set different prices without screwing over the rest of the routes due to the bumped price.

Well, it is a bit harder to write in a way that is not confusing, because you are selling at a loss and the plugin is compensating for it with the bonus.

Is it a flat bonus or a per-unit bonus?
Also - the route seems balanced. I run a different (shorter) route usually with the same profit. So it looks fine from my POV
Update: Crunched some numbers
A run with a 5k ship:
25.000.000 Investment (Pueblo, PPU 5000)
5.000.000 Payout (Elbe Station, PPU 1000)
Loss of: 20.000.000
Bonus of: 26.000.000

Profit: 6.000.000 for a route of about 1090 seconds
Profit/s: 5.504$/s
My regular trade route nets me a profit of 12400$/s (at least), and the Omega 3/7 gate is not involved. So whats my incentive? Its not as profitable as it at first seemed...

Who is meant to be Opfor is this one?
Is there any faction that feels like rping the dangerous of the almost uncharted Omegas?
And what do they get for it that encourages them not to do happy trading instead of opforing?

The Opfor were the unlawful factions, Wilde included, who were constantly asking for an Omega event. I made the bonus marginal enough not to end up with everyone trading, so I am not really sure where they are.
+ The Ageira who are not too pleased about people smuggling their stuff.
