Actually this is correct to a point, look at 4.84. Out of the top of my head I can find several completely crazy inbalances. Yet how do they affect the actual game? They do a bit yes, but not extremely much.
(unless you combine all of the advantages vs all the disadvantages (read: Catamaran with inferno and 4 missiles vs Titan/Templar, or for example 6 Missile GB against 2 Eagles)
Now if the differences/imbalances get only 1/4 as big it's way past the threshold where skill and luck matters much more.

Well yes... If I look left I see 10 people saying (ship X is uber and ship Y sucks), then I look right and see 10 other saying the opposite.
