To instantly recharge would require for a EMP weapon to hit your hull which is actually taken as an exploit (I got slapped for it before)
In this case, there is no way to instantly recharge your core anymore without an EMP hitting your hull first. And do take note that the core no longer do that like 6 years ago.

If by this you mean the pulse bug wasn't a thing six years ago, you're wrong. It's been there since vanilla and there's no getting rid of it.

i didnt test that, but it did work with snub pulses.
Maybe this is the end of TSing Battleships just get a snub to pulse once you cruise up

As people mentioned, it's been here since vanilla and there's no fixing it. One thing that needs to be pointed out though is that intentionally lowering your shield and telling your ally to pulse you just to exploit the bug (or the latter only if your shields are already down) is actually punishable, every other instance isn't. It also doesn't happen consistently when you're impulsing/thrusting, but it works 100% of the time when you're in EK cruise.

Gonna drop this in green.
Cruising up to your enemy and getting pulsed by them happens sometimes, but if we get evidence that you get pulsed by friendlies to get core for your triple-HM or whatever ship, you will find it turned into a stargazer.

Sometimes you get new players who tend to shoot all weapons - and they don't mean it or are aware of it, or people accidentally firing their pulses when someone deshields it before them. Accidents happen.
But people doing it INTENTIONALLY to gain an advantage will get whacked.
