Question on Trader/Pirate encounters... - Kambei - 12-26-2008 ' Wrote:Correction: The demand is that he drops his cargo or pays a fine. Telling him to halt is -NOT- a demand in an engagement sense. It is demand because I am not pirate (generic pirate ID) but member of paramilitary organisation of revolutionaries... we act like unoficial army or Rheinland under command of people of Rheinland. So I can demand from you stop your engines because maybe I dont want to rob you but ask you on your ID/tag, what do you want in rheinland etc. etc... milion ways of RP which isnt posible if you dont stop. Try to say "no" to guearilas in Bolivia is they ask you to stop ha! _________ uuups I missed 3. hehe point 3 can be - kill TL again. Question on Trader/Pirate encounters... - Reverend Del - 12-26-2008 The misconception that Halt is a demand was shattered a long time ago, Master Kambei, much to some folks chagrin. A demand is that they do something in order to appease you, you could demand they dance for their life, so long as you accept the fact that they'll have to write out how they are dancing, halting is the thing they do before they appease you. You cannot get angry at their lack of desire to halt. Edit: doesn't cut it even if you do define yourself as paramilitary, your ID defines you. You do not define it. Engagement rules are dictated by ID. Pirate ID = Pirate. Question on Trader/Pirate encounters... - Kambei - 12-26-2008 ' Wrote:Engagement rules are dictated by ID. Pirate ID = Pirate. yes, Pirate ID = pirate, Hessian ID = hessian which is under official lore of mod paramilitary revolutionaire Question on Trader/Pirate encounters... - Reverend Del - 12-26-2008 Pilot carrying this ID has joined the Red Hessians. Pirate ID grants its owner right to scan other ships and demand cargo (not allowed for cruisers and battleships), engage bounty hunters and lawfuls, fulfil bounty contracts, participate in military operations on unlawful side, and trade. Pirate ID owner cannot ally with lawful forces. The hessian ID Pilot carrying this ID has joined pirates of Sirius sector. Pirate ID grants its owner right to scan other ships and demand cargo, engage bounty hunters and lawfuls, fulfil bounty contracts, participate in military operations on unlawful side, and trade. Pirate ID owner cannot ally with lawful forces. Pirate ID Spot the difference, other than the cruisers and battleships clause the only difference is what organisation you have joined. Both are considered Pirate ID's therefore halt is not a demand for either of them. I can put this in green if you'd prefer, but the point is the same either way. Question on Trader/Pirate encounters... - Kambei - 12-26-2008 well where is not will there is not way.... you want have RP server with anti RP rules? hah ok I dont care because everybody can be lawyers and I am doing and will doing my way of RP .. just read and cry -> since Im using predefined messages my piracy usualy looks like this.. 1. kill TL 2. scan 3. DEMAND 1 - "stop your engines please" ... usualy everybody stop if not I have my favorite predefined message number 2 "drop your cargo" Do you understand? In one second I can change polite demand into ofensive and realy ugly demand - which is perfectly correct with server rules. HA! now you can cry jerkie traders... mayby I wasnt on way to rob you but just ask you if you didnt saw corsairs, mayby I was trying bother you with propaganda, maybe I was trying to ask you for donation (usualy 2 mils.)... but now, I want whole cargo... ooouch it is expensive right? And gues what happen to you if you disobey this DEMAND hehehe.... I know I am ******* but I realy love when traders drop whole cargo because it is their worst nightmare haha, expecialy after long trip only few K from final destination (right niobium traders?:Dhow much is it? 7 000 000? and 15 minutes of your life?) Question on Trader/Pirate encounters... - Zelot - 12-26-2008 Dusty, are you putting words in other people's mouths again? Question on Trader/Pirate encounters... - Furball - 12-26-2008 Disregard the "trial" thing. I get the same when asking questions and site an example. First off, it is a little frustrating. We all have issues with Non RP people. I just poeted this: http://discoverygc.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=29132 (Also got the trial accusation) As a Pirate, and in a ship as yours, "solo", you have to be on your toes. In my humble opinion, if you are Hostile to the person you stop, you disrupt them and you are ordering them to do something, you are engaging in Hostile activity. I stop you in the street, I look Hostile, I am holding a gun and tell you I want to see your wallet . . . if you had a Gun pointed at me, would you shoot? (I would) -Keep moving and do not be a target if possible when you do stop someone who is well armed. -You could be a Diplomatic Pirate. Some unlawfuls do this and they make more money. They RP well too. For example, some RHA and GC players do very well in both departments. -Last week, I was stopped in Magellan by a Hacker in a Gunboat outside the Freport. He said "Cut your engines and prepare to be scanned." I typed: "You are of course joking Hacker." I was a BH (Tag and IFF) in a BH Cruiser. "Ahhh . . . you are a little bigger than I had thought!" We RP'ed and not a shot was fired. He really needed to be more attentive to what he was doing however. -I commend you for reaching out and asking questions. I commend you on the RP nature of your ship. Please feel free to rob me at any time . . . if you can catch me. :P Happy Holidays. |
