I'm not sure ammo-based "tungsten rounds"-firing weapons make a whole lot of sense for them to use, though, so I'd rather give them an alternate set of options. I say revert snubs to the old setup this overhaul is out of scope of vanilla since you have removed a vanilla weapon RE: Auxiliary Guns - sasapinjic - 01-25-2017 Just tested it , 2 equipped on SHF deal ridiculously low damage ( much lower that simple gun ) to even still target ( i needed 15 sec to de-shield NPC LF ) . Promising weapon tough , has nice coverage , but need more tuning . They didn't remove (a) vanilla weapon, they removed all fighter tracking torpedoes and missiles. They did this because nowadays players feel that Freelancer is an unfair game regarding guided projectiles. These being very hard to avoid. Therefore it has been decided to remove half of this game's potential and fun to make the game easier for today's players. If you're still there please remove the key bindings from settings for Launch Missile and Launch Torpedo. It was too hard to keep missiles how they originally were designed: "Javelin family caused the highest amount of damage for weapon level.
