Yes... it does look like a liner, now that someone mentioned it. Why does that make sense.

Making side windows into textures instead will probably spare some faces, but I assume the forward-looking dome is also very heavy for that matter.

By the way, the bar connecting engine tubes in the rear looks really weird from different angles, not sure why.

Been quiet here for a while, the reason is because I tend to take breaks from modeling and what not and only model when I get in the mood. Anyways the last model I'm still working on but in the mean time here's a new one that I forgot about then discovered when looking through my folders. I gave it an update and made it look better now that my skills are better in blender.

Is it a transport, a carrier or a self-propelled spess cannon?

If it's a carrier, it could have the biggest capacity in-game with such looks, I think. While a spess cannon... Well, rip everything it smacks.
At the very least, it really looks like a 5ker in case it's a transport.

I'm thinking a little bit of both and I mean why not? The big hole in the bottom would be a runway for fighters/bombers, while that little track along the top would be the cannon, I'm thinking a Rail gun.
It certainly has the feel for a heavy BS, maybe something comparable to the Valor.

Switch them around. a huge cannon that runs the length of the ship, and a carrier like open runway on the top xD

Yeah but the reason the cannon runs along the top is so it's easy to aim. It's designed to essentially be a Rail gun with magnets running along the side of it's entire length to propel a projectile at great speed towards an enemy.

I actually planned to model in a door at the front that would open and close for the runway.

Guys, trust me, it's better to have dedicated ships than hybrids.
Hybrids smack smaller ships hard, surely, and can fill a hole in case there's nothing better around, but anything dedicated will either outgun or outspam them with snubs.

So you're saying to go with carrier or space cannon but not both?

RE: TickTack's Ship models - HanCloudstone - 03-24-2017

Well, yes, I do.

Unless you use the model as a base for both designs!
