I dont think the approach to putting other RP on a pedestal is good either. One person's good rp wont always be good rp to another.
Who is one to judge these things? You can portray it as your opinion but...
It's more useful to set guidelines and then let the rp go from there.

that's like applying the same principle to art, it doesn't work like that... you can have legitimately bad RP, just like how you can have bad art.

Of course it's a subjective thing. It's essentially a "name you favourite characters/stories" thread.

you can like something that's full of plot holes or is a mary sue, whatever, but it still won't defeat the facts about it
