The problem is its your idea of "perfect" game play but its just your idea.
I hate seeing the forums used by "big sticks" (of any kind--self-imagined or peer-promoted) to "beat" other players into submitting to their idea of "perfect" role play.
Can we understand that EVERY player has something to offer here and no other player has a right to pre-preemptive strike their role play because "their ideas are sooo right"?
Some rp better than others but I resent the heck outta the attitudes, "I am the perfect standard by which all others have fallen short when measured against it".
If the people posting 1000's of posts of which 90% are against other player's role play are so good, why isn't their awesome in-game playing skill winning people to their example and causing them to follow after without having to be forced to?
The biggest success you have is only in space--specifically the space between your own ears. Its called EGO.
Play your game well, others will like it. The forum isn't best served in its usefulness as your personal bully pulpit.

Lighten up a little on Tenacity please. What is the purpose of this forum anyway. Tenacity seems to be the one on trial here.
Tenacity. When I Modded for Evo, we made our own clan weapons and ships.
The weps were clan specific and we did the info cards to indicate just that.
And ONLY clans could buy them.
The player file had to have the "clan code" otherwise ships, weps, and equipment specific to that clan would not be shown at all. What I have been saying here for a while and wondering why this is not done here.
That would stop a lot of complaints and sanction reports.
At times, clans would mix and match other clan weapons. I even did it. As long as Aligned Lawful clans used Lawful weps and allied Unlawfuls did the same. Junkers could NOT use Hogosha weps for example.
If tensions broke out between two lawful clans, (for example) the weps were un-equiped and sold.
I have a Freelancer (IFF & Tag) in a Sabre. You would think this "OK" as Freelancer NPC's fly them. I constantly have a bunch of players think me an Outcast or Unlawful, this includes House Police. They give OORP advice on what I should get, sometimes in open chat. Go fiqure.
It is getting hard at times to RP even if you are 100% "in character".
Things worked well in the other Mod. Only people who had proven they knew how to RP, worked together as a team (Lawful and Unlawful) and stuck around for more than a week got the rewards of the effort. If there was a problem or concern, it was discussed in the forum, and we worked it out.

I totally agree with you Tenacity in the idea concept, but maybe not in the strickness of the matter.
When ever I see someone with a load out of guns that doesnt make sense, I inform them, by saying "hey, your guns and ID don't mix well, it doesn't make sense"...ussually the response is, oh, sorry, i'll go change that now, and they do. If they say they have a cash flow problem, i /givecash them a few mill so they can fix their weapons loadout.
But 19/20 times(that i have seen), people have it right. And if they don't, i've never had someone argue against my logic. I try to ask them kindly, rather than tell them boldly, and all goes well.
now sure there is the option where someone could come up with a really good RP story to explain, which I'd happily listen to, but if there is any hint into it becoming a "i stole it" story, then I'd have to intervene and say the old "I stole it" story is not one that flys past people very well....
9/10 when asking people to look at their loadout and see if it fits their RP, people change it accordingly, to "make sense".
1/10 that i've encountered, try the "I stole it" story....and I kindly explain to them what I believe is wrong with that.
If they accept my idea, they change.
If they don't accept my idea, oh well...they can play the game how they want, but I won't be grouping with them.

Well we have NPC's to be ordinary people. I think truelly nobody wants to be a programe. Everybody wants to be Something. Becouse the RP is more intresting, and this is what we tryin to reach here. To act in big improvisation theatre (of course with old good Freelancer PvP fightin:P) and if you are simple policman, your RP is just boring.
Hmm and what takes Trents and Orilions, yes this is nonsense. And the point with equiment I agree too.

Tenacity, this is a game, understand that people want to have some fun/
and a few little equipment errors can be expecting, not everyone rps on the forum, you might not know their story

I RP my order character like any of the other hundreds of officers in the order, with the exception of taking charge of some research-oriented RP projects. I've had no issues finding things to entertain me without declaring myself a ninja cyborg tentacle ape from hell.
My junker, likewise, is just a normal guy smugglin for a livin, with a crew full of rejects from various places around sirius who're just out to get a buck and make it in the universe. I have plenty of fun RP'ing that character, without being some black ops genetically enhanced supersmuggler that can turn invisible and play mindtricks on you.
Perhaps the other players here just arent putting in enough effort?

Hehe, Or, You can have certain weapons if you have a good rp for em. Im not writing a novel for turrets, but for example:
Bretonia Capital Turrets are sold on Planet Gran Canaria (Omega 49, Zoner) One could theorize that they'd sell you these at a high price to fund their war. (My RP for them, anyways)
