"Well Jimmy if your heart is set on that Gallic Liner there are other options than ringing up the Brigands." Ted finished his drink and went pouring himself another."I'm sure Malta would be just as eager to capture a liner full of potential labor." Ted turned and retook his seat. "We have ourselves a few different options, but at least we can agree we need something besides this." Ted gestured to the room at large.
RE: Freeport 2 - Administrators Office - DkJericho - 07-09-2017 Sipping from his flask and taking a few more pulls from his cigar he leans in on the table. "Well purchasing a liner of that size cant hurt to see if those Gallic folks are willing to sell." Taking another drag from his cigar he looks at Ted and Jimmy. "I mean worst they say is no...and if that's the case I'm willing to help put a team together to take one off there hands." He gives a small smirk at the idea. RE: Freeport 2 - Administrators Office - Croft - 07-09-2017 Jimmy chuckled "The way you guys go on people would think we're pirates not smugglers. All gun ho to 'jack a liner, buncha nutjobs." He sat back in his chair and gently turned it side to side. "Honestly I don't mind stealin' anythin' that ain't bolted down, and even a few things that are, but doin' things that way comes with a big ass can of worms. Especially if we want to take that bad boy up to Gallia at some point, which we probably will now that we have a few friends up that way." Stopping his chair, Jimmy looked between them smiling. "Hell we're gonna turn heads everywhere we go with one of those." "And I'm glad you don't mind the idea Casper" he said smirking "because you'll be the one doin' the buyin'." RE: Freeport 2 - Administrators Office - Stoner_Steve - 07-09-2017
"We can worry about the fallout after we get our hands on it. Hell we might be surprised and have one of the Gallic Corporations willingly sell us one." Ted leaned back in his char and picked up a tablet laying on the desk in front of him. "Tell you what, I'll make some shell corporation to initiate contact with some of the locals, they wouldn't even know its us." Ted started gleefully taping on the tablet. "How's 'The Pilgrim Star Line' sound? I can claim we are Zoners moving the religious to Baffin."
RE: Freeport 2 - Administrators Office - DkJericho - 07-10-2017 Jasper smirks with a slight smile at Ted and then looks over at Jimmy. "You know that aint a half bad idea forging a fake business to appeal to another...though I have a strange feeling it might back fire." Putting out his cigar in the same ash tray Jimmy used he pulls his chair closer and grabs one of the glasses Jimmy laid out. "Perhaps get a hold of one of your Hacker friends Jimmy see if they can do anything with Ted's idea. Thats if your interested." RE: Freeport 2 - Administrators Office - Croft - 07-10-2017 "Yeah the Hackers are weird bunch. They want information instead of credits, the whole 'knowledge is power' trip and I'm flat out of info." Jimmy ran a hand through his hair. "And I ain't keen on the idea of them knowin' how we're gonna get this liner, when it comes to info brokers the less they know about you the better you know?" "I know EFL are the ones who make the liners, saw a couple being worked on while sightseein' that time, so we could use Ted's made up company to sort the deal but I don't think the three of us look the part. I mean would you sell somethin' that fancy to guys lookin' like we do?" He said with a laugh, adding "And they sure as hell ain't gonna sell it to no Brigands either" while throwing out a thumb. "Can you imagine it? Buncha goombahs like us dressed up in monkey suits?" "No offence guys but we ain't fancy like the Hog-" Jimmy paused abruptly "-osha..." RE: Freeport 2 - Administrators Office - DkJericho - 07-10-2017 Filling up his glass with the last bit of whiskey Jimmy had Jasper stares up at him. "Eh you look like ya thought of something there Jimmy. By the way you got any more whiskey?" RE: Freeport 2 - Administrators Office - Stoner_Steve - 07-11-2017
"Common Jimmy, it wouldn't be the three of us stuffed into Monkey suits, just you." Ted chuckled slightly and leaned back in his chair continuing to tap away at the datapad. "I'll of course play the lovable pilot, and you Ghost, how about the butler we can never find." Ted burst out laughing before calming himself and continuing. "We could always use the Hogs, they have that fancy Liner up north, Golden Dragon or something like that. Wouldn't be the first Liner Casino."
RE: Freeport 2 - Administrators Office - Croft - 07-11-2017 "Na, na, na, na. Not the Hogosha." Jimmy said waggling a finger "There's another group up in Gallia like the Hogs but they're meaner, real mean. They also claim to control the blackmarket up there, and source that Nox stuff you like so much Ted." He took a quick sip of his drink and continued. "They used to have a liner of their own in Ou-verge or whatever it's called, no idea where it got to now but the place was supposed to be legit." Getting up he slid Jasper another bottle and starting to pace behind his desk "If we could get a line to 'em they could buy the liner with no questions asked, leavin' us outa the picture. Then all we'd need is to get it outa Gallia..." RE: Freeport 2 - Administrators Office - DkJericho - 07-13-2017 Jasper raises an eyebrow. "Who the hell you talking about Jimmy?" Jasper pulls another cigar from his left vest pocket. "You already got a contact up there? Hell I still haven't even been that way, you know if they got any shiny artifacts? He smiles at the idea. |
